Chapter 10

Halle was in an alley, panting. Her whole body shaking with fear. What had she been running from?

"So here you are." A calm voice, it sounded amused. For a dead second she realized the voice and it sent a shiver down her spine. She knew who she was running from and she had every reason to.

She started to run before she realized that she'd been running towards a closed end.

"Oh no, it's a dead end!" he mimicked her voice trying to sound desperate and then laughed hysterically.

He closed the distance between them as she inched closer to the wall slowly crouching so that he can't do anything to her. She felt his hand on her hair as he ruffled it. "It has been so long . . ."

"No . . ." she said quietly. She can't take this. "No!" she screamed.

Halle noticed she was still in her bed. She sat up. That was a terrible nightmare to have. How terrified was she to get that nightmare? She rubbed her eyes. She'd woken up three hours before the alarm. She sighed. She didn't want to go back to sleep after this.

She got out of bed and listened to some songs on her phone. After calming her nerves she went on with her routine.
