HER FIANCÉ, A BIPOLAR (?)

- HELVETICA -

"I supposed you came here for a reason, right Lithia?" This sister of mine didn't even dare to step her foot outside of mother's chamber. She just keeps on sipping her tea and reading her hefty book. Despite the fact that she's just sitting there, looking lovely and serene, can you blame me if I'm annoyed by her presence?

I might be too much? But in either way, "Why are you even here? Don't you have anything to do? Serina can accompany you back to your chambers. I thought I made myself clear, but I'm too busy to entertain you." Isn't this enough to make her stand up and just disappear from my sight? I CAN'T FOCUS ON MY JOB!

A knock on my door, grabs my attention as I look to Serina, who bows slightly as she peeks through the door's small glass, but opens it entirely afterwards. "Your Highness, Lithia." Camilla greeted while she smiles; carrying a cup of coffee with her bare hands.

"You should've just let a maid carry this for you instead, Camilla." I get up as I take her brewed coffee. It really has a soothing aroma, yet has a mild taste. But how can she even carry this hot cup of coffee? It would cause her hands to sting because of the heat.

"Your kitchen is really nice. The chef and the maids' are fun to talk to. There's no need for you to worry. Of course, they lend a hand to help me, but I wanted to bring it to you personally as I could see that you're being troubled by those papers." She said while returning her gaze towards me.

She went to my table and started to examine the papers with her hands placed on her back; swinging her body slightly as she nods. "You're choosing for my personal maid, aren't you? The one who can benefit me the most? Have you already picked?" I chuckle. What a smart woman. But also a careless one.

She came here without even wearing her slippers. She's also in her nightgown. She doesn't even have gloves as a hand protection. She looks like a mess. I'm wondering if she's really a Duke's daughter.

"I can't even concentrate as an uninvited guest has arrived." Lithia looks unconcerned while she just sips her tea as if she hasn't heard ANYTHING AT ALL. I don't even know what this woman's thinking. Barging into this office without any prior consent.

"Isn't it normal for siblings to have this kind of atmosphere?" I look at her with DISBELIEF, written in my entire face. Sibling, she said? "I'm not even your biological sister, Lithia." She stretches her arms as she FINALLY rise up. FINALLY!

"I bring no harm to you, Hel. I'm just dropping by to inform you that I'm also your sister. Whether you despised me or not, even if you turn the world upside down; I'm still your sister and we have the same father." As if it'll make me feel any better.

"Aren't you supposed to help father for this upcoming night? I will introduce my FIANCÉ after all." Lithia let out a little chuckle as she looks at my maid. "I still have some tea left in this table. Could you be nice and bring this cup of tea on my chamber? Of course, I will not force you to do so." Serina, as my maid, looks at me with such disagreement. The same feather will always flock together.

"Serina, can you please accompany my sister?" I just wanted her to get out of my sight. Her perfume is too sweet for me to handle. And speaking of sweet aroma, the pillars are filled with Jasmine's flower today. Maybe it's one of my mother's doing as she enjoys sweet scented flowers.

"Are you sure you came to the kitchen with that look?" I get back to my seat as she looks at her dress while slowly turns around. "What? It's pretty." The only pretty thing in this room is my patience along with my little nice attitude.

"You're wearing a nightgown, Camilla. You're not even wearing your gloves, nor wearing your slippers. You look like a mess along with your chaotic hair. Did you even have the time to comb? I know your bed is pretty comfortable, but take care of yourself after you woke up." I felt like I'm dealing with a sophomoric person. She stays quiet as she sat on the sofa, looking like a puppy who's been reprimanded by her owner.

Now, I should comfort her, aren't I? When did I ever— Why should I— Ugh. For the first time in my existence, I was defeated by those eyes. I sigh as a sign of defeat.

Standing up from my position, I decided to check the papers with her consent. "Take a look at these prospects and help me choose your maids. You can choose as many as you want. But make sure they look trustworthy in your eyes, Camilla. I already have Serina so I don't need any extra." Her eyes shines brightly as soon as I sat beside her.

"You're hyping up again." She just chuckles as I let out a little sigh. How much valuable air have I already wasted? Maybe two or three? Perhaps, I should kick it a bit and just stay PRETTY NICE for the TIME BEING.

"Your hair's chaotic, how can you face me with this look?" She flinched as I comb her hair with my hands, removing my gloves so I could do it carefully.

"Is this how you were raised at the manor?" She's still focusing on the papers while giggling a little. "My father used to chastise me for being like this. He also claims that I can't find a suitable spouse, however, I was shocked when you chose me as your fiancé." I'm also wondering.

Perhaps, when I saw how uncomfortable the Grand Duke's daughter around me, my instinct told me to not choose her and just come up with someone who looks loyal and honest to stay by my side.

"I just chose someone who's comfortable to talk to. Someone who's not afraid of standing by my side." Speaking of being afraid, Lithia used to stay quiet and looks at me with such disagreement in her face. But right now, all I can ever feel was her warm aura along with her gentle stares.

EERIE.

"Tonight's dinner, can you come with me to buy some gifts?" My brows furrowed as she gets up. "Don't look at me like that. Isn't it normal to bring presents when meeting Her Majesty's parents? It was a gesture of respect." Respect, she says? "You're really an odd one." I said while chuckling.

"I'm one-of-a-kind, Your Majesty and—" She gave me 7 papers as she stretches her hands. "'They're the ones I chose for the both of us. They're quite young, but you shouldn't disagree with this one. They'll work under your maid's supervision, of course!"

"Serina doesn't even like to have another maid around as she finds them a nuisance." She looks at me once again as she asked me a question. Did I say something wrong?

"Hel, by the way you're saying it, Do you possibly like her?" I felt chills as I could feel her frigid voice spreading to every entire corner of this room. "You're misunderstanding—"

"Then trust me and hire these maids. They should learn from Serina as you created her to be the finest, Am I wrong? But right now, we should probably visit the capital, what do you think?" Is this woman, a bipolar? I'm starting to think that she doesn't like my maid or was it just my hallucinations?

"Are you coming?" I feel like I'm obligated to say yes as she's my fiancé and I already told her that I'll come with her if she's going outside.

"Before that, can you dress up? I'll call some maids to arrange your hair." And in just a snap, she smiles for the second time.

I might be dealing with another trouble, but I don't mind getting involved in her matters.
