GOT REJECTED?

"Ah— Your Highness," Just what in the world do they think they're doing? "You seem to be having some fun while reading and taking notes. Don't you think the library's a mess already? These books are scattered everywhere." It's too chaotic to watch.

Serina rises quickly and bows in front of me. "Please pardon me, Your Majesty. The Lady wants to study about herb and medicines, and so, I suggested that we should take notes about some information and memorize it later on." It's not that I'm against about their study sessions, however—

"The books are scattered everywhere—" Camilla interrupts my speech as she taps the chair besides her. "That's the important pages I need to read. I didn't have any bookmarks, and folding the pages would be a waste, so I carefully set them out." I sigh as a sign of defeat. What can I even say at this point if she'll just explain more?

"Just stack the books and leave it wide open to the pages you wanted to read." They exchanged glances as Camilla stands up. "You're no fun, Hel." I chuckle. Is it my fault if this sight is not pleasing in my eyes?

"It's called ORGANIZING." I said as I picked up a book. "Feverfew?" Serina gives me a glance while she begins to stack some books. "Feverfew is one of the rarest herbs, Your Majesty." They're really good at memorizing things, aren't they?

"It's also a fragrant herb with little yellow and white blossoms that smell like citrus. It's commonly used to relieve headaches." Camilla said as they both stood up. Look at them, being happy with just reading these kind of books.

"And you also have a lot of plates stacked in your working area." I said while returning my gaze to the table.

"I was hungry and decided to order some meals, but I got carried away and asked far too much. Serina was with me so I invited her to spare me some time." They're the only ones I know who can finish a lot of cakes and custards in one sitting.

"Where are the other maids?"

"Well, that's—" They looked up as I could see the rest of the maids reading some books from the fifth floor. "I let them read some novels since they don't have anything to do. I thought you'd be too preoccupied with your work so I decided to take it as an opportunity to study." If she wanted to study that badly then,

"Should I hire a private teacher for you?" She shrugs her head dismissively. "I think I'm fine by myself, Serina is also with me. I think having a study partner can increase my knowledge." Study partner, she said?

What am I going to do with this woman? "Do you ever know what time is it already?" Serina glances at the time as the other maids begin to step downstairs.

"D-dinner," Camilla said while giving me an awkward smile. "How can you eat in this situation when you're already full?" I sigh as I lend my hand.

"Please clean this area. All books should be appropriately stacked and deliver it to Lady Camilla's room. And Serina, meet me at my mother's chamber after dinner." We leave the library as soon as I finished speaking.

My sister was seated all lovely in the dining room, quietly eating her meals as we walked in. While mother greeted me with a smile. "You're late, but please take a seat. Your food's going to be cold." Looking by the range of food, it feels like Camilla wanted to vomit already.

"Are you alright?" I said while chuckling. She looks at me with such begging eyes as if it's my fault that she ate too much while they were at the library. "Simply consume what you can and discard the latter. Keep track of the time the next time."

We both sat in the chair as I snapped my fingers, signaling the maids to approach me. "Serve a soup for Lady Camilla and take time to eat the rest of these meals served at her table." It's better than throwing it away, isn't it?

She bows as she started to take the plates. "Hel?" I drew my attention to father as I heard my name. What a rare occurrence. What does he need this time?

"Yes, father?"

"I already discussed your birthday theme with your mother. And we both agree with it. However, I'm curious as to what you plan to do with those people." Is he bothered? Great. AS HE SHOULD.

"Nothing special, but that's something you need to look forward to." I drew my attention to my sister who's looking lovely and serene while eating. She looks at me as if she's fed up with my scoffing. IT'S HILARIOUS!

"I can see a blooming flower in your aura, dear sister." I can sense her erupting at any moment. "Isn't it a good thing? I might as well influence you with my positive appearance, sister." So she learns how to talk back. INTERESTING.

"I hope you're having a good time in the garden." Camilla looks at me with a confuse face. "Don't mind it, I'm just testing her patience." I whisper as she started to eat the soup in her table.

"I'm hoping you're familiar with the word 'privacy', Hel." But did I ruin their moment tho? I was considerate of their privacy. I didn't even try to interject myself into their chat. She should be grateful I didn't drag Vien along with me. I was just checking to see if the knight was telling the truth. I didn't do anything~ Well.. maybe just a peak. It's not even a crime, isn't it?

"It's just a coincidence, Lithia. I didn't mean to watch." She gives me a stern look before sighing. See? That's how nice she is. "There's nothing between us, Hel."

"But you're smiling, sister. First stage: Denial." I chuckle as if I know anything about falling in love when the only thing I did was to read bullshit fairytales. "Could you please quit talking about nonsense?" But her face seems to like it. She's really stupid. WHY CAN'T SHE EVEN SEE THAT?!

"You sounded resentful, Lithia. Did she rejected you already?" She stays quiet. Perhaps, I've crossed the line. But did she got rejected already? Oh.. POOR LITHIA..

..

Pfft. Who am I even kidding? It's funny! Hahahahahaha!
