Chapter Seventeen

Emeren took a relatively short amount of time to arrive at the local market. He was sent by his father to sell two of their cattle and one of his sheep. His father stated that he needed to bring the exact amount of shillings back to him.

But he isn't going to that.

He has been asking Mariaisabelle for help. He wants to treat Maria to something nice, but he doesn't have any ideas. So, Mariaisabelle is going to the market for him so that he can buy something for Maria.

Maria is smart, talented, and understands his fascination for the arts. He has honestly never felt this way in all of his seventeen years of life.

Other females his age wouldn't even try to hold a decent conversation with him because of his handsome features. He would talk to people about the culture with such enthusiasm, and none of them would bother understanding. It made Emeren feel alone and isolated.

For the first time in his life, someone wanted to know more about his likes and dislikes. Maria not only wanted to talk to him about music and art, but she also wanted to understand him.

Maria's caring heart and adoration for her loved ones make her admirable. She is everything that Emeren desires. She will go above and beyond to learn from her tutors. Thinking about Maria made Emeren's mark of capability itch.

The spade-shaped symbol only itches when Maria needs something. It's in his nature to find the best gift for her. No matter how angry his father will be.

It has been a few days since Maria and Emeren first copulated. Since then, they have been closer than ever before. It seems that no matter how hard they will try, Maria and Emeren had to be together.

So, Emeren managed to receive four shillings from Mariaisabelle's profits. He then uses that money to purchase some of the most delicious chocolate that he can afford.

Once he leaves the markets, Emeren takes a swift turn to a path. It takes the artist to an old hollow tree in the fields. As he gets closer, his smile grew bigger as he sees the familiar silhouette.

Maria stands there with her violin case and a few pieces of paper. She is wearing the same multicolor gown from his father. It looks fantastic on her. Once Emeren gets close enough, he engulfs his little rose in a hug.

"I missed you so much, my love," Emeren says lovingly. Maria looks up and kisses his cheek.

"I did too. Come, I have something that I want to show you," They break apart from their hug and Maria leads him to the other side of the tree. There, Emeren sees a laid-out blanket, a music stand, and a basket.

Emeren sits down on the blanket and stares at his beloved in anticipation. Maria takes her hand-crafted violin out of the case. She quickly places the pieces of paper on the stand and gets ready. His eyes light up as he sees her place her chin on the violin's body.

She looks down at him and smiles before playing. As soon as she starts playing, Emeren knows exactly what she's playing.

She is playing the beautiful piece of Vivaldi's Four Seasons. He's Maria's and Emeren's favourite composer.

His composition has only been around for a moment in time. But the artist feels that this piece will be remembered for centuries.

Maria is specifically playing Allegro in E Major. The piece is supposed to be played in a concerto, but he doesn't mind. What set Vivaldi's work from all the others is that he had written beautiful pieces of work to convey a certain type of story.

'Springtime is upon us.

The birds celebrate her return with festive song,

and murmuring streams are softly caressed by the breezes.

Thunderstorms, those heralds of Spring, roar, casting their dark mantle over heaven,

Then they die away to silence, and the birds take up their charming songs once more.'

Seeing Maria's face made him leap. Her eyes are shut as her face conveys strong determination and focus. She holds the instrument with such blissful beauty, and when she is done, she bows with perfect pristine posture.

Both of them spent the rest of the morning eating and talking about their day. And in the afternoon, they looked up at the sky and pointed at the soft cotton clouds. Soon, they had to pack up and go back. But in the evening, they will entangle with the devel's tango.

They would continue to do this for many more days to come. And every day was better than the last.

Emeren is a very lucky man.
