I didn't tell Chance nor Kevin about it. It's been days, and there were no new threats. It may be a clue of finding out who I am but what if the person who sent this to me is dangerous? I can't risk involving these two!

Chance and Kevin took turns touring me around town. They drove me around town, hoping that it will trigger my memories. Right now, the three of us are in the amusement park looking around.

"Hey! Wanna try playing that?" Kevin asked while pointing at a shooting game.

"Wanna bet on it?" I asked him and smirked. I don't even know why I'm confident to say it.

"Sure! Whoever gets the grand prize gets to have a wish. Deal?" We shake on it. We all have ten shots. Whoever knocks the most target wins.

Chance went first and shot seven targets. He won a cute turtle plushy. "I'd like to see you try to score higher than mine!" he sarcastically said and placed a hand on his hip.

Kevin was next and shot nine. He has a good shot. Impressive. He got a panda plushy for that and started waving the panda in front of Chance. They began to banter then they looked at me. "Alright, Mari. Think you can beat nine?" He asked while grinning like a child.

I scoffed and turned to the counter. Focusing on the targets and pretended that I'm in a secret agent. I looked at the scope and started shooting one after the other. Okay, Mari, you can do this!

one...two...three...four...five...six...seven...eight...nine...ten

TEN! I shot ten!

"HA!" I smiled to myself as the man gave me the grand prize. A giant unicorn plushy. The boys looked at me, surprised.

"Well, boys! How about that?!" I smiled and looked at them happily. They both gave me a shy smile and looked away.

"What?!" I asked them both, but they kept quiet. It seems I embarrassed them? "It was just luck guys, both of you went first. So, I have enough time to practice in my head. Don't feel bad about it!!" I said and linked my arms to both of them while I squeezed myself between them.

"I wonder who is your lucky charm." Chance said and tousled my hair. We laughed and continued to walk. Kevin held my plushy, and I looked at him. Is he blushing?

We walked some more and decided to have pizza and beer nearby. Chance sat opposite me and collected our plushies beside him. Kevin sat beside me. We ordered some pizza and a bucket of beer. We talked about random things, but mostly we talked about their childhood. Since I can't remember anything, I just laughed at the two reminiscing their memories and bantering about random stuff.

*DING*

My phone pinged, and the two stopped and looked at me, surprised. I was too busy chewing that it didn't register to me what was happening.

TOO LATE! Chance pulled my phone and looked at the message.

"HEY!" I stood up and tried to reach for the phone. Chance looked at me in complete shock. Kevin got curious and pulled the phone from Chance's grip. He also looked shocked and looked at me intently.

"What?" I asked. My gut tells me it's not good, so I pulled the phone and looked at my screen. My eyes grew wide when I saw three different photos.

One was a photo of me walking in the park that night with Kevin.

Another photo was of me serving coffee to Chance.

And the third photo was a photo of me with Kevin and Chance at the amusement park near the shooting stand.

I looked horrified at the three photos. My instincts told me to look out, and I saw a man with a hoodie staring directly at me. I can't see his face clearly, but I'm positive that he's been watching me.

Without a second thought, I ran out of the pizza place. The two guys called me, but I was too far out to tell them what I was doing. The hooded man ran for it, and I followed. We reached the treeline, where I stopped. He stopped as well and looked at me. He pointed at a tree, and I saw a black bag.

"Who are you?! Do you know who I am?!" I asked the guy. I can only see his lips tighten like he wanted to say more, but he's hesitating. "Please--"

*BANG!*

I gasped as I ducked down and looked in the direction of the shot. Kevin is a few meters away, and his gun is at the hooded guy. I looked back at the hooded guy before he made a run for it.

"Mari!" Kevin and Chance shouted my name. Somehow the name didn't seem familiar to me anymore.

"What the hell were you doing?! What if that guy hurt you?!" Chance scolded me when he reached me. He's checking my body if I got hurt.

"That was reckless! What if he's armed and wants to hurt you! What were you thinking!!!" Kevin grabbed my arm. His hand is trembling but firm.

I wanted to say I'm okay, but I held my tongue and looked at the bag the hooded guy pointed. Ignoring their scolding, I turned to the bag. It's a shoulder bag; a personalized engraving was on its side.

"Zamira Yamada"

That name. Why does it sound familiar? I picked up the bag and looked at the contents. The two boys were arguing about something, but I blocked them out and focused on the bag.

Two phones, one is smashed, and the other looks like a disposable. A pouch with girl stuff like pressed powder and lipstick. A wallet, which had nothing in it. And a set of keys; a house key and a car key. Before the two got to me, I quickly hid the keys in my jacket pocket.

"Mari! We should go." Kevin spoke. I stood up and looked at the bag once more. I looked at the two, their faces lined with concern. I simply nodded and picked up the bag. We drove to the police station.

"Why are we here?" I asked and looked at Kevin, who's driving quietly, his eyes on the road, but his mind is somewhere obviously.

"Mari. Whoever sent you the message is threatening you. We're filing a report." Chance replied and looked at me.

"It was probably sent from a disposable phone. It would take days before it pans out if ever there is. No need, nothing happened to me. That's what matters. Can't we go home and call it a day?" I responded.

"NO!! NOT ON MY WATCH!" Kevin's tone was angry yet worried. His knuckles almost turned white as he gripped the wheel tightly. He looked at me through the mirror, and his eyes were glazed. I masked my shocked expression with a blank face.

"Fine," I responded and went out of the car. They followed, but there's silence between us three. An officer got my statements, and they looked at the bag that I got. Kevin was supervising them, and he looked at the items one by one. Chance sat beside me inside Kevin's office. He's constantly stealing glances.

"Stop looking at me, and just say it," I told Chance and looked at him intently. His eyes looked tired and worried. It took him a minute until he sat in front of me. He placed his hands on my shoulders.

"Mari. You were reckless. Kevin and I got so worried! What if something happened to you?! I care about you! Can't you see that?" he didn't mask his frustration and looked at me, almost in tears. He let go of my shoulders and put ran his hands over his face and head.

What's wrong with me? I found myself having difficulty empathizing with him right now. I know I should be, but I can't.

"Mari. We have to move you." Kevin said as he entered the room and looked at me. I blinked a few times to let the statement sink in.

"It's for your safety. If this person knows you. And saw you alive, he might try to hurt you." Chance said. I can feel his voice shaking.

I don't want to argue with them, so I just nodded.

"The bag. It belongs to a Zamira Yamada. Does her name ring a bell?" Kevin asked. I shook my head.

"Hooded guy pointed it to me before he ran into the forest," I said.

"Did he say anything to you?" Kevin asked.

"He wasn't able to say anything. You arrived." I responded plainly.

"So you're telling me it's our fault?" Kevin looked irritated.

"I didn't say that. You said that." I replied monotonously. I'm tired, ugh!

Kevin groaned and pinched the bridge of his nose. Chance looked at him then turned his gaze to me.

"Mari, you have to know that we're just worried, and that's why we're looking out for you." Chance said. He's trying to lighten the tense mood in the office.

Silence followed until an officer knocked and opened the door. He looked at Chance and me, then to Kevin before he talked.

"We tried finding Zamira Yamada in the database, both local and nearby, but there's nothing. We'll forward it to the national database. Maybe they can find a hit." Kevin nodded, then dismissed the officer, and he sighed heavily. Exhaustion must have gotten into him. He massaged his temples and closed his eyes.

No results, huh? Just like me, a living, breathing ghost. Or maybe I'm Zamira? It's possible, right? But what proof do I have? I can't think straight. I'm tired. I looked at the two; I'm sure they're tired too.

"Can we go home now? I don't think sitting here all night will help us." I suggested. Kevin blinked a couple of times before nodding.

"You'll stay with Kevin tonight. He'll protect you." Chance said while facing Kevin.

"Hmm?" My expression was showing confusion. I looked at Kevin, he looked like he's in pain, but he tried to hide it with a slight nod.

"Putting you alone in a safe house might be too dangerous. If he's following you, he might attack when we're not around. Chance and I will take turns in keeping an eye on you." Kevin responded plainly.

I'm too tired to argue, so I just sighed and nodded. Chance bade goodbye and left Kevin and me in the office. Kevin kept his eyes closed while leaning back on his chair.

"Let's go." Kevin finally spoke and ushered me back to his car. His hand is trembling. Nope, this is not from the shock a while ago, that I'm sure.

He showed me the room I'll be staying in and gave me a slight tour. I can't help but notice how he closes his eyes now and then. He also heaves a lot.

"Are you okay?" I asked him. He looked at me; his eyes are still glazed. He nodded, but I can tell he's feeling unwell. I wanted to ask him if I can help, but he seemed dismissive. "Okay then, good night." I went inside my room and leaned on the door for a while.

*DING*

[I know who you are.]
