51. Join The Literature Club

Arriving at the class, Izumi noticed that Kyouko seemed to be avoiding him. He thought for a moment, then took out his phone and messaged her.

[Notice me, senpai!]

But alas, she still ignored the message. He tried sending another message.

[I will call you loudly if you ignore me. *XD*]

It didn't take long for Kyouko to reply.

[Don't, Miyamura. It's embarrassing!"

Not only did she reply to his message, but she also turned to him with a pouting expression. Seeing her expression, he immediately sent a message.

[Don't make an expression like that! You're not cute at all.]

[Heee, so you think I'm cute?]

[Nope. *:'v*]

[Miyamura, you bastard!!]

He saw her angry expression. So, he sent another message.

[Now, now! You shouldn't take my joke seriously! By the way, did you stop by my shop yesterday? I mean, my mother's.]

[Yeah, but I didn't see you.]

[Well, I went somewhere, it's only natural that you didn't see me.]

[Where did you go?]

[To the lake not far from here, I looked for impotention.]

[…]

[I mean inspiration.]

[I'm so speechless with your misleading words.]

[Hehe. Me too.]

[Why are you even speechless with your own words!? *Flip table*]

With a little joke from the messages, Izumi sent, her originally restless heart turned cheerful again. However, the first lesson bell rang which made them stop exchanging messages.

When the school bell rang indicating school was over, Izumi went around the school looking for a club. At first, he only thought it was enough to go to the library, but he didn't like the atmosphere in the library. In the end, he was looking for a club that matched what he wanted to do, the literature club, since he was planning to write a novel. Well, maybe not only writing a novel but duplicating good novels from his previous life that didn't exist in his current world.

"Excuse me." Izumi entered a room with the words "literary club" on the door. There are three girls there. One had short brown hair with an airy bob, the other had half-length black hair, and the last was a little girl with long blonde hair.

"Um, who?" The little girl asked him.

"Ah, sorry to interrupt your discussion, my name is Miyamura Izumi, class 1-A. I'm quite interested in this club, so I want to join." Izumi explained to them.

"Hee, are you sure you don't mean to put your claws on us? Unlike other clubs, there are no male members here, you know!" A short-haired girl with an airy bob teased Izumi.

"Oh, interesting. I wanted to join this club even more after hearing what you said, hehe." Izumi said monotonously.

Seeing Izumi's flat expression, the girls were a bit surprised because all the boys would be overjoyed when they heard that the literature club was only inhabited by female members.

Izumi was certainly happy because he was the only boy who joined the literature club. However, he had no intention of approaching them romantically.

"All I want to do is write a novel in peace. Not find a soul mate." Izumi brushed his hair back with his fingers while smiling, which fascinated them for a moment.

When the girls snapped out of their daze. They immediately asked.

"Novel?"

"What novel is that?"

"Can you show it?"

Hearing their questions, Izumi asked back.

"So I'm allowed to join?"

"Yes."

The three of them replied simultaneously.

"Thanks. But I can't come here every day. Is that okay?"

"Okey-dokey. Our club is free anyway. My name is Kashima. Nice to meet you."

"I'm Inomori, nice to meet you."

"I'm Chono, nice to meet you."

The girl with short brown hair and an airy bob is Kashima. The girl with half-long black hair was Inomori. The little girl with blonde hair is Chono. Three of them were first-year students which meant they were only in different classrooms.

"Likewise." Izumi replied shortly.

Izumi looked for a seat, then took the laptop and turned it on. Izumi downloaded many novels from his phone and transferred them to the laptop. He had already sorted out which novels were unpublished in his current world. Then, he had also chosen which novel he wanted to publish in his current world.

The format of the novels he downloaded was initially in the form of pdf files, complete with covers and illustrations. But because he wanted to publish in his world, he changed the format and removed all covers and illustrations.

"Well, I apologize to the authors! In my world, your novel is unpublished. So I will take your creation. Hehe."

That's what Izumi said after downloading all those novels.

Since Izumi already had novels ready for publication, he wanted to write his own novel which was an adaptation of an RPG game that had an amazing story.

Izumi started typing on the laptop keyboard quickly using ten fingers. The girls were curious about what Izumi typed so they couldn't help but peek. They felt that Izumi had experience typing on a computer since childhood when they saw how fast he typed on a laptop without even making mistakes.

Izumi said that he wanted to write a novel. But seeing how fast he typed, they felt that his head already had a script and needed no more inspiration.

Well, Izumi has a brain chip that can store memories like a hard drive in a computer. Of course, the chip has a capacity limit. So when his chip capacity is full, he can only rely on his brain to store memories.

What Izumi liked about a brain chip was how he could remember anything he wanted to remember with just one look and allowed him to learn anything in the blink of an eye.

At a speed of 200 words per second, he was able to finish around 12000 words in an hour. And that's when he stopped writing.

"Fiuuhh." Izumi let out his breath.

Kashima, Inomori, and Chono couldn't say anything other than praise him.

"What a speed."

"Terrific!!"

"You're amazing!"

Izumi looked back while pushing them away. He also saw another girl behind them.

"Girls, you're too close!"

They smiled awkwardly in response. Then, the new girl asked him.

"What novel is that?"

Izumi looked at the new girl. She was a tall and slender girl with waist-length silk blue hair. Her height was slightly lower than Izumi's.

Izumi didn't answer her directly, but he introduced himself.

"Hello, my name is Miyamura Izumi. Nice to meet you." Izumi greeted her.

"Hello, I'm Furuhashi Fumino, the president of this literature club." Fumino nodded in response.

"Oh, Furuhashi Fumino, huh? She's a character from the same anime as Mafuyu." Izumi thought.

Because Izumi was watching her intently, she became flustered which made her take a step back.

"W-w-what is it?" Fumino asked with a slightly reddened face.

"Nothing. It's just that, as a girl, you are quite taller than the other girls."

"Hoho. Miyamura, don't tell me you want to target our president? Even though you said you didn't want to find a soul mate?" Kashima suddenly teased him.

Izumi just turned at her while shrugging his shoulders.

"Targeting or not, you can tell by the way I speak, right?"

Kashima clicked her tongue because Izumi was calmer than she thought.

"Tsk. Not fun. I thought you'd be flustered. Anyway, show me your novel!"

Since Kashima and the others seemed eager to read the novel he had just written, Izumi let them read.

"Twin brother and sister love adventure. They are both people who have divine powers so that they can travel from one world to another. But one day, they arrive in a world they shouldn't be allowed to visit. Sensing that a great war was coming and not wanting to get involved, the two of them decided to leave that world. But how unlucky they were when a goddess blocked their path, separated them, and even snatched their divine power away for no apparent reason. This…" Kashima who read was so impressed even though what she read was only the prologue.

"This is amazing." Furuhashi stated. And they all agreed with her.

Then, Kashima looked at him intently.

"What?" Izumi asked.

"Send me a copy of this!" Kashima said straightforwardly.

*chop*

"Auch, what are you doing?" Kashima held her head with a pitiful expression after being chopped up by Izumi.

"I haven't submitted this novel to the editor yet. Do you want a copy instead? Wait after the editor releases my official novel, little girl!" Izumi said while ruffling her hair.

"Hey, stop!! Don't treat me like a kid. I might be older than you, you know!" Kashima lowered her head, then stepped back to escape.

"Older doesn't mean grown up." Izumi replied shortly. Then he added, "Nevermind, I want to go home. See you tomorrow." He took his laptop and left the literature club.
