"I never thought I would have earrings before," Jel said, looking at himself in the mirror, the earrings dangling from his earlobes. "I always thought they were too much trouble but ... I suppose I like them now.
"Maybe it is because my honey did such a good job at it." He grinned at Osbert who looked like he aged fifty years just after piercing the earing through the man's neck. "You look tired, honey."
"I suddenly feel very tired," Osbert said, laying back on the bed. "Why don't we rest up for the time being, Jel?"
"But I am not tired at all," Jel said, walking around the room, his earrings dangling in his ears. "Besides, I am not yet done with scanning this place."
"They work on autopilot, don't they?" Osbert asked, reaching out and grabbing Jel, pulling him to the bed and wrapping his arms around him.
"Honey-"
"Sleep."
"But, honey-"
"Sleep."
"Osbert-"
"Sleep."
