It took Jel a couple of seconds before he finally decided to leave it be, giving Osbert his best smile.
"If anything is wrong, just call for me," Jel said, patting him on the cheek with, what he hopes is, a kind smile. Though he is not the best at hiding how worried he feels towards this person to leave him alone with her.
I did not get to rest up properly after that painful extraction that happened only the night before. Also, creating a separate space for Kila, if that is even his name, to say in while also holding his spirit to me took up more of my energy than I thought it would.
"Don't worry about me, Jel," Osbert said, patting the man on the head. "I can take care of myself very well."
"I hope so," Jel said, grinning at him. "But … if anything happens, anything at all, please call to me."
