Having successfully pulled off the rescue as well as making a new friend, Shen dubbed the mid as a mission accomplished. That was until he had to stop Ororo from frying Tony after he tried to hit in her faster than Shen could react.


Boarding the Xjet, Shen has Ororo go freshen up rn route to their destination. Turning on autopilot, he rapidly washes and get everything ready while the jet lands itself in the Serengeti. 


When Ororo exits the jet she is welcomed to the a wonderful view of a picnic set up on the cliff side looking over the plains.


Motioning for her to come over Shen sets out their meal as the two talk about anything and everything. As the sun begins to set, Shen stands up and with as much courage as he can muster


"Ororo, my best friend, my other half. Before I met you I thought I was a whole person. But after I met you I realized that was indeed not the case. These year with you have been nothing but perfect. Your fierceness to not back down from what think is right, to the affection you show to the younger kids at the institute being their teacher and leader. 


 Ororo Monroe, would you marry me?" Shen asks with as much confidence as he can


"I will" Ororo replies tears forming in her eyes.


As the sun begins to disappear over the horizon, a small earthen hut appears to provide shelter for the 2 lovebirds for the night.


Arriving back at the institute, the two begin to exit the xjet when a very watchful Jean yells out to Ororo pulling her to the side upon noticing her new ring.  Hearing what the two girls were talking about the ever tactful Kurt asks the question Ororo herself wanted to ask but didn't know how


"So Shen if you two get married who's last name will you take. As far as I know you don't have a last name ja?" Kurt


"Ororo permitting I wouldn't mind taking her last name. " Shen replies with a blush


" I would not mind at all" Ororo replies with a blush as well


"Get a room you two" Logan yells having arrived to see what was all the commotion.


"Funny you should say that Ororo follow me if you will I have one last present" Shen says as he starts to walk towards his destination before he has to continue 


With the group laughing I'm off and dispersing the make their way to the small home that Charles had built for them in the corner of the property.


"I know you had said you wanted us to move in together but due to what we do it makes it slightly difficult. After doing a few favors for Charles I managed to convince him to give us the next best thing, so what do you think? He asks nervously


"I love it, close enough to our family that should something happen we can be there quickly but far enough away we have our own privacy. This couldn't be better" Ororo replies giving Shen a kiss


"I'm glad it makes you happy, how about we explore the rooms before the other inevitably make their way over here?" 


"I'd like that" Ororo replies as the rest of their day was spent enjoying the impromptu house warming party thrown together by their friends
