"My lady, is it necessary to go?" The look on his face was so apprehensive, if I did know any better, I would have thought we were going to war.

"If you have other work, I can go alone. Just prepare the carriage for me." I looked in the mirror. Two maids were getting me ready in that bright red dress while another was decorating my hair with the new jewels from the mines.

"My lady, we are still not certain why his majesty has summoned you suddenly. Going there could be dangerous!" I shook my head at his childishness. Did he think I was a kid to not understand this simple thing? When the crown prince was here a few days ago, I realized that already.

"I can deny this time, but he will call me again. If he has some idea in his mind. No matter how many excuses we make, he will find a way to fulfil it. So, it is better to go today. Let him feel that we are not a bit wary of him. And since when have you started seeing me as a weak girl to not be able to protect herself from this simple trouble." he shivered hearing my cold and sharp voice and shook his head.

"I apologize for my mistake. I shall go and get the carriage ready." I nodded as he walked out of the room.

I gave one last look to myself in the mirror as I stood up. I stopped when they started following me.

"I do not want any of you to follow me. I am going alone.`` They looked at each other and then at Aurora who was looking at me with pensive eyes.

"You are taking knights with you?" she asked, tilting her head as she nodded and the maids left.

"The maids listen more to you these days!" I commented, completely ignoring her question.

"You are the one who made me their mistress!" she replied as she shrugged her shoulders but then asked again, "so, you are taking the knights right?"

"I am taking the knights. But we both know that they can not enter the palace. No one with weapons is allowed to enter in the name of the safety of the royal empire. Their carriage would be stopped long before even their territory would start." she sighed as she rubbed her head.

"Well, what about a pet!" she looked at me mischievously as her eyes twinkle. I did not know whether to laugh or cry at their over protectiveness. They had never been like this before.

But since the case of poison has happened they have started treating me like a little girl!

"You think they would let me enter with a fox in the palace?" I asked back and she shrugged her shoulders.

"Why not? Would they get a chance to see the sexiest fox in their life ever?" could she be any less narcissist.

"It is not like they can cook and eat you. So why would they be interested in a fox? Now you better behave and stay here. I am leaving Caleb to keep an eye on you." and before she could retort or throw further tantrums, I walked out of the palace.

"Your carriage is ready, my lady." I nodded at Caleb who looked at me with pleading eyes which I blatantly ignored.

I entered without giving them a second look. It was not that I could not take them with me. It is just that if i continued to entertain them, they would be more demanding with time.

The knights followed the carriage as I looked out of the window. The night was dark and so was their intentions.

,my hands unconsciously moved to my waist where a small ruby belt was adorning my thin waist. But in reality they all were precious magical stones that would serve me as my eyes.

"My lady, we are here." my eyes snapped open at the voice.

And there he was holding the opened door in his shaking hands.

"What are you doing here?" He looked at me horrified as I asked him the question.

"You have assigned me to be the host, my lady. I am serving in place of old coachman Murid.!!" he replied, bowing further. I closed my eyes to calm myself.

"The bunch of fools!." I shook my head at their folly. "Come in with me." his eyes widened hearing my reply. He looked around for help but only darkness and the sound of cricket was accompanying him.

The knights stopped long before, and I have not brought other maids with me. So, only he and I were standing there in the big garden.

"I did not want to trouble my lady. How could a small coachman like me enter that grand palace." he shook his head continuously to show his denial!

"You have already troubled me, and you are troubling me further by wasting my time. Now follow me this instant or i will drag you in.'' I snarled at the foolish boy. Hadn't I told them that the apprentice of the magical tower was searching for him. And here they have sent him to the royal palace.

This is another hub of the members of the magical tower. Who would know what would happen to him when he would be wandering here.

"But my lady.." he looked around with his down casted eyes as he showed his reluctance. This man tried to run away as if I was a blood drinking beast that would kill him for his blood and flesh at any moment.

"You are such a nuisance. As a slave from where did you get the courage to argue with me. Now follow me or die right here." My voice turned further colder and he shook visibly.

"My.. my lady, i was only saying that you have not started walking yet.. Then how am I supposed to follow you?"
