Sold to the Villainess

All of the maids were standing in a straight line with their heads bowed low. A layer of sweat had formed on their faces even when the temperature was low and the room was cold enough to create shivers.

"Who had mixed poison in my food?'' I asked but none of them replied. I could hear a few gasps but not a single word!

"I am not a patient person. So, it would be better that you reply to me honestly or I will kill all of you to get my answer!" I replied as I looked at each of them.

They all shivered yet none of them replied.

"Very well. Kill all of them!" I ordered and chaos ensued. They all looked at each other and many of them started sobbing.

"I did not know anything you were talking about, my lady. I have no idea where the poison came from."

"Yes, my lady. We have been serving you for many days. Have you  ever faced a single problem before?"
