"Sigh! How I wish I would have been old enough to accompany you for the feast as your partner! If only there would have been someone who could ask you instead? Then you didn't need to FIND A PARTNER" the last three words came out with gnashing teeth as he eyed me and finally it dawned on me that he wanted me to ask for her partner.

My head bowed as I felt scared but at the same time the thought of dancing with her churned my stomach in anticipation.

Her laughter rang like music to my ears.

"Do not worry kid, there are many knights whom i can ask, and i will wait for you to be an adult so that we can have dance together." she replied with sparkling eyes and a soft smile on her face.

"My lady!" I called her in a higher voice than required.

I felt embarrassed when she looked at me with a frown, "what is it?" her voice was perplexed and cold and i gulped.
