Chapter 10

“It’s Dr. Towne.”

John recognized Arana. He had met her at the hospital, “Mr. Ku, shall we pick her up?”

In the back seat, Terrence pursed his thin lips and ruthlessly withdrew his eyes, “No.” After the traffic light turned green.

John winced and stepped on the accelerator without saying a word.

The rain got even heavier, accompanied by thunder and lightning.

Terrence frowned harder.

It was excessively quiet in the car, only the sound of rain could be heard outside. Thunder rumbled before the car was turned at the next intersection. Something came to his mind, Terrence ordered, “John, turn around and go back.”

On the bus stop, Arana looked at the long queue numbers on the car-hailing app and sighed, fishing tissue from her bag and wiping her neck.

She may probably get cold due to wet and cold clothes.

She was trembling when the black car pulled up in front of her.

Arana was puzzled and then saw a familiar face through the window.

“Get on the car!” Terrence ordered.
