Chapter 17

The fairly relaxed atmosphere was almost instantly stressful to the extreme after the words ‘seven years ago’ fell.

Arana clutched her fingers and tried to make her voice sound calm enough, “Sort of, not exactly, at that time it would have been necessary to study abroad as well. It took a long time to apply for the quota.”

Terrence’s eyes condensed into ice.

After all, the five-year relationship made they know each other well and know clearly what kind of words could shift away the topic of children and, in the meantime, hurt directly the other’s heart.

Terrence looked at her coldly and compellingly, without obtaining an explanation. Arana lowered her head and drank water, not even saying an apology for what happened before.

“Waiter, check out,” Terrence’s thin, cold lips split out and he stood up.

On the way back Terrence didn’t say anything, completely chilling the atmosphere.
