Chapter 5

After getting discharged from the hospital, husband and wife went back to their home. Warmth embraces her again when they arrived at the home that she misses the most. Seeing Auntie Chen and the maids welcome them back with great enthusiasm and smiles on their faces, she felt relieved and her heart warmed.

Her joy didn't go unnoticed by Jinyi. He felt this wife adore everyone in the house. He feels satisfied himself. Guiding her back to the living room, he seated her and Auntie Chen gives her a glass of water.

"I'll have the kitchen prepare some lighter foods for the madam and it will be ready soon. Master, Mr. Song called a while ago and ask me to tell you to return the call as soon as you got the message."

Jin Jinyi snorted. Then his eyes turned to the confused Sera. Her confused expression looks adorable and he felt an urge to pinch her nose.

"Who's Mr. Song?" she asks. But if she remembered accurately, he was one of the chairmen that runs Heiwen Corp. that sent a financial report last few days. "Heiwen Corps?" she asks again.

"He's the one."

"If I remember correctly, the financial report he sent the last time has a few errors, you've checked it right, could it be that you have already sent someone to investigate, and now he was looking for you to clarify the mistakes?"

Jin Jinyi's lips curved into a smile and patted her head.

"Wife is really intelligent. Hmmm. Thanks to you, we have noticed it before it became irreparable. Mr. Song embezzled a lot of money from the last report and thought it will go unnoticed."

"How much is that lot?" Sera was curious and ask. Jin Jinyi looks at his wife with new light and pulls her into his arms.

"Ten million."

"That much?" Sera was surprised. Ahe didn't expect it to be over a million. When Jinyi mentioned unnoticed she thought it will only be over a hundred thousand. But upon hearing it, her brows knitted, and look at the man with worry in her eyes.

"Won't it affect the company? Do you want me to check on the other accounts to make sure?" she offered.

"No need, just rest for a while. You can come back to work after two days. I'll already approve your leave."

"I'm already feeling good. Hubby, can you just let me go to work tomorrow? I'll die of boredom, you know." she said frowning. She wanted to work. By working, she can forget all of her worries and heartaches. It was the best escape he had.

Watching Sera pout pitifully, Jinyi feels a headache coming. If he said no, won't she kill herself this time? Thus, upon further thinking, he just nods his head and agreed to her request.

"That's great, thank you Jin." she smiled and her eyes were twinkling happily. The smile immediately put him in a good mood.

After having their meal, Sera went back to their room to take a bath while Jinyi returned to the study to read some documents. When Sera was done bathing and changing clothes, she didn't see Jinyi in their room and guess that he was in the study so She brought a pillow and went straight on the study.

Jinyi's head raise when he heard the door opened only to find his little wife entering with a pillow under her arm wearing a loose and comfy pajama.

"I'm done, why don't you take a bath first, I'll take a look at it." she offered and went straight to his chair.

"You should be resting now. Why are you here?"

"Helping my husband check some documents. Now go, the faster you finish, the earlier I can rest," she said and push him away. Jin Jinyi could only sigh and have her seated on his seat and walk away to take a shower.

Yun Sera found a comfortable spot on Jin Jinyi's chair and start reading the pile of documents on his table at an unusual speed. Her right hand was holding a pen and from time to time she would pinpoint some errors, cross out some words and even correct some calculations.

At some point, she found it odd that some reports had these immeasurable errors. Especially on the financial statements. Most of it has its lackings and mistakes in calculations.

For a great company like Jin Corps, she couldn't believe that someone would be daring enough to steal and fool the owner. Her eyes glint with a faint curiosity and coldness. She was so focused on her work that she was unable to realize that Jin Jinyi was already standing by the door watching her with tenderness shown in his eyes.

Jin jinyi had just finished showering and felt refreshed and when he returned to the study he saw his wife so engrossed at reading and writing at his table. He never had once seen a woman so dedicated as her. He felt like finding some rare treasure on the road full of fake jewels. She was weak as a girl who has nothing in her life but suffering but she was also rarely bright with a high IQ for a small woman. When he saw her furrowed her brows tightly he sighed and walk towards her.

"Enough working, let's go sleep," he said startling her for a bit.

"Just a bit longer, hubby this document looks weird, have you seen this yet? There were so many mistakes in the calculations. Don't you find it odd?" she asks, handing a piece of paper from the Shinwei Inc. Folder.

True enough, when he looks at it more, in addition to Sera's notes, the calculations have been altered greatly. First Heiwen Corp, now its Shenwei Inc. A cold smirk curved on his face and he patted his wife's head.

"Let's sleep for now and go to work tomorrow, alright," he said and put the paper back on the folder before pulling out the girl.

As they walk to their bedroom, Sera was absent-minded. She was looking ahead and thinking hard. Why would they do this? Is there someone behind this? Would it affect the company?

"Don't worry, I will solve it sooner." Sensing his little wife's troubled expression, he said reassuringly. Sera nods her head and sighs.

"We'll work together, alright. I want to help."

"Alright, alright Madam Jin goes to sleep." he tucks her to bed and covers her with a blanket. Fatigue and exhaustion were still evident on her face that the instant she laid on the bed she fell deep asleep.

The next morning, Yun Sera woke up late. It was already past noon, she immediately went to the bath to take a shower. She wore a white comfy dress and pull her hair in a braid before coming out of the room.

"Aunt Chen, where's Jin?"

"Young madam you're awake, have some breakfast first." Aunt Chen offered and prepare the table for her. She nods her head and sits on the chair. Her stomach rumbled and began to eat.

"Young master went to Jinsui building late, you were still sleeping and told us, maid, not to disturb you. He also said that if you wake up, we have to prepare some food for you. The driver is waiting to send you in there." aunt Chen explained later.

"Alright, have you prepared Jin's lunch yet?"

"Young madam, it is already prepared."

"I'll bring it with me then, thank you auntie Chen." she smiled and continue eating. When she was done, she took the lunch box and went straight to the car.

The day was busier in the Jinwei Building. All staffs are on the edge when CEO Jin came in a bad mood. They didn't know what exactly was happening but they know its something bad. When Yun Sera arrived at the building, all eyes bore on her.

"You sure take your work unseriously eh, coming to work so late as if you're not." a woman in red retorts her as soon as she reaches the PR department. If she was not wrong, this woman is called An Che. Yun Sera furrowed her brows and look at her. She was tall and looks sophisticated while she was short and plain.

" Do you think you can do as you want just because you are our CEO's assistant and he brought you in personally?" another woman said in disgust.

"I am not doing what I want, I was on leave until today but went to work despite that," she said turning her back towards the woman she walks straight to the elevator.

"Sera." a familiar voice then called, she turned her head and saw Jun Mei running towards her.

"Big sister Mei."

"CEO Jin is in a bad mood, it is not safe for you to see him now." jun mei looks worried as she told her. Sera giggled and held her hand.

"It's alright, Boss won't hurt me," she said patting Jun Mei's shoulder and went inside the elevator. Yun Sera sighed when the elevator door closed in front of her. Those women in the Pr dept surely don't like her. What could she do? When she heard the alarm and the opening of the door she immediately steps out and went straight to the CEO door, opening it without knocking.

Inside, a few men were standing on the CEO table. She saw Jinyi sitting on his face with a stern look. His dark expression made her body tremble unconsciously, she never had seen him like this before. Now she understands why Sister Mei warned her. But still, she knows he won't do anything to hurt her.

"We've been talking for an hour like this, I've been asking the same question but none of you gives me the answer yet. Why is that so?" Jin Jinyi's voice emits a deadly tone. None of these bastards could explain to him why is Shinwei Inc was losing money behind his back, and this is happening for almost a few months now? If not for Sera's keen eyes, this will go unnoticed even to him. Most of the time, he couldn't take a look at his business financial report because he finds it troublesome and he had his trust in his finance team but now he proves himself wrong.

"I want all of you to send an explanation tomorrow, those who failed to do so can pack their things out of my buildings. Wen escorts them out of my office." Jinyi instructed his man, as he massages the temple of his head.

The man called Wen then escorted the people out, living the boss and Sera who was standing by her table. Sera clench her fist and went to his table, putting the lunch box above it.

" Why don't you eat first, an empty stomach can make a person grumpy," she said. Jinyi raised his head, her expression turned slightly good. His face softened and mused the girl to come over.

"How's your sleep?" he asks as he held her small hands, fiddling on her delicate fingers.

"I've sleep enough that I could make you a system that helps you check your businesses behind close doors."

"Hmm. It would make things pretty easier than if I had that system."

"Don't you know your wife is so great that she could make that possible? Why don't you try her?"

Jinyi laughs at his wife's cheekiness and pulls her into a hug.

"Then what does my wife needs to make that system?"

Yun Sera's eyes glistened and a wide smile curved on her face.

"Computers, lots of them and hubby, eat your lunch alright, don't just hug me, what if someone enters and see us like this."

"What's wrong with me hugging my wife? If they have something against me hugging you then they can just walk out the door and never come back." Jinyi snorted making Sera giggle. Though she like the way Jinyi hugs her, this is still an office and it is not good for his image thus she pushes him and has him eat his lunch while she went back to her seat and works.
