A year passed.

Joseph practically cut off communication with his old friends in New York on the grounds that he wanted to find peace in life. He even chose to build his own house which was not too far from the plantation. This is not without reason, he just wants it to be easier and more efficient if he wants to see the plantation location as well as the factory and his office.

In addition to more practical reasons, Joseph also felt that his father was old enough to continue his activities in the office. His physical condition was no longer possible to go to the office every day so practically all business matters were Joseph's responsibility.
