Decided to move on

"What should I do?" There was a mess, going on in his head, stuck with his reflections, wanting to get out of those misunderstandings however he never comprehend that before their love story begins, it would meet its ending.

Walking down the streets, he noticed every happening around however didn't notice when his phone buzzed inside his pocket.

Heaving it out, he snorted by spotting that it was Jin-Ae. Not wanting to pick up her call but somewhere he expected to hearken to her so disobeying what his mind preferred, he decided to go with the heart.

"Hello?" his voice appeared broken nevertheless he contrived to pull off his all strength to screech like he wasn't disheartened coming to know that she was getting married to another guy.

"Hey," the same tone dropped in his ears too, softening his heart, he dared to ask her something that she couldn't imagine. Jin-Ae thought might be he would appreciate the manifestation regardless it wasn't the case with him. If something like that was soon to be turned into actuality then he would turn away himself from her existence.

"Are you going to marry him?" his words were frankly, not inferring how she felt at the same moment, he just came out with his holdings rather than solacing her. That's when stillness knocked over in between them.

Foreseeing might be Sung-Ho would imagine my troubles currently, I didn't know he would come up with something that would make things turn away from our path of togetherness. Somehow I comforted myself through my empty room attended to my cries, my discomfort but expecting the wrong person, whom I thought would understand, broke me down. I wiped away my tears, willing to retort his misgiving, I knew it gonna break our hearts.

"YES."

"Alright," felt hard uttering this, but his heart broke too.

"But-" shedding his eyes, he hung up the call before realizing what was the rationale behind her opinion.

______________

I cried out knowing that he hung up the call before listening to my intentions, hugging my outcries with the help of a pillow, I cried my heart out.

"I'm sorry I couldn't do anything to stop this," Ji-Hoon muttered softly, peeping into her room, his eyes left some sheds too, beholding her breaking self in front of his eyes, but soon feeling someone presence around his shoulder, he turned to get a glimpse of that person, that's when his eyes softened, watching Ari standing beside him.

"Don't worry, she'll be alright," her words were not sympathising for him but trying her best to get away from the moments of sadness in his heart.

"I can't see her like this," he again gawked towards Jin-Ae but she wasn't discerned around the room so he scrambled to open the door, unearthing her.

"She is there," Ari pointed towards the balcony as her shadow could be seen after curtains.

"Go, she needs you," She wanted him to be with her so he gathered up his courage to move towards her by giving her a head nod.

"J-i-n A-e," he softly mumbled, having got to her attention, she wiped off her tears impatiently and turned inside out to face with the usual expression.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't do anything," he apologised although Jin-Ae didn't blame anybody for her fate so passing a smile towards him, she took his hands in hers and asked him to look into her eyes.

"I'm not blaming you, brother. And I'm okay with it," she quietly said.

"Why are you crying?" she caught tears rolling down his cheek, but wiping the tears away from her face, she again weakly smiled.

"I didn't keep my promise," his tone expressed that he regretted everything at this moment, he promised himself to protect his sister from Jae but couldn't stand it.

"I'm alright and Tae-Hyun is my childhood buddy, it's not like I'm going marry a stranger. Relax, he understands me," Jin-Ae was somewhat relaxed, knowing that Tae would help her. So, he let out a long sigh before coming up with Sung-Ho. His voice cracked at first.

"Did Sung-Ho know about this?"

She looked away when he mentioned him, smiling weakly, pressing lips into a thin line, she nodded.

"What did he say?"

"I don't know he just asked me whether I'm going to marry him or not, and I said yes. That was all conservation we had," she whispered.

Whereas he grew impatient about what their relationship would be like after knowing this.

"What you gonna do?"

"Umm... I will try to move on, that's all," her words took him by surprise, the girl who was willing to wait for him till death reaches her and now she was giving up so easily.

"Are you serious Jin-Ae? Listen, you can run away from here I'm here to handle everything here, don't worry about dad's company but I can't see you like this," he got a little excited by his suggestion that she would be happy to spend her life with him if she chose to get away from here.

She giggled.

And his eyebrow raised at the confusion, kinda not familiar with this in serious situations.

"I am serious here, please," he sounded surprised however he acted to find her away.

"Sorry, but do you think I would do this, I won't do it even Sung-Ho asks me to. You know I won't take this step ever in my life," she managed to get this out between her breaths. Ji-Hoon looked at her with seriousness in his eyes, her voice carried through the space easily.

"I know but I don't want you to spend your life here in hell," he put on his most serious face.

She nodded at his saying but living with her childhood friend would never be hell as he said.

"But it won't be the same with Tae, relax," her jaw clenched tightly as she was the only one to catch her lies, looked towards him, pressing her lips into a smile.

"Okay, now go and get some sleep," he pushed her by her shoulders sweetly, she chuckled.

"Alright, good night," he whispered, pecking her forehead before heading out from her room.

"Good night," she said and stared at the ceiling thinking back to the time when her parents controlled her life like a toy, she had to resist rolling her eyes at her suck-up attitude of parents toward her. Grabbing the phone she thought of texting him.

"Can we meet tomorrow?" she sighed and waited for his feedback, pausing for his reply she didn't realise when she fell asleep.

However, got no response from his side.

Next sunrise:)

"Aunt, can I have my breakfast in my room?" I shouted from upstairs because I didn't wish to see those faces but their attention guided towards me when I shouted but it didn't bother me a little.

"Coming," aunt yelled back.

Slamming the door shut, I looked around to grab my phone, wishing for his reply but there was nothing, he didn't even read it, which resulted in a bad start to my day.

However, Tae-Hyun make me smile as he dropped a morning message to make my day.

[Can I spend some time with my childhood buddy?] I knew his intentions weren't that way but I understood that he was trying to cheer for me.

"Of course, Coming," I texted back and soon climbed off my bed, starting a new life was hard but putting my best I tried to overcome his absence because I knew the more I would wait for him, the more it gonna hurt me to the hell so I thought of starting a fresh beginning.

I was ready with a beautiful outfit to hang out with him, glancing for the last time, I walked out of my room, making sure of grabbing my phone and purse. As I was heading downstairs, the sound of steps gathered their attention towards me. I rolled my eyes back with annoyance in them.

"Where are you going? Jin-Ae?" I gritted my teeth when my brother asked me in front of all.

I glanced in his direction, coming to stand beside me, buttoning his sleeves.

"Umm.. hanging out with my friend," I whispered in his ears which wasn't audible to anybody out there but him.

He nodded and I directed steps towards the exit however dad made sure to again come up with his guilty face, "Jin-Ae?"

"Dad, I'm sorry but I'm not in the mood for your talks, bye," these were my last words before withering from their sights.

"Aren't you satisfied with your doings that you still dare to mention her," Ji-Hoon said in an annoying tone before heading towards the dining room, fists curled up tightly by his side?

Ji-Hoon noticed the fear flash through his eyes and let out some chuckled, seeing his hurt figure.

"There isn't any need of showing your guilt after ruining her life just to save your fame, I must appreciate you both as a good parent," Ji-Hoon furthermore uttered in the same tone when noticed Jae, having her breakfast.

Jae dropped the spoon, getting annoyed by his behaviour, "MIND YOUR WORDS," she yelled but her threats didn't have any effect on his face.

"Of course." said in a sarcastic tone.
