Roses for him

One week deceased;

Time elected its way so fast, I got a lot worse remembrance the past time, luck wasn't my side as it looked scarcely possible for getting in any contact with him, but still, somehow I contrived to get over this time just aspiring for the days when everything would back to natural, although it was like dream but striving for the good wasn't an unfortunate thing.

I was snapped out from deep thoughts by knocking on the door, "it's unlocked," responded while getting up from the bed.

And the door revealed Dad, "Dad?" I whispered because his appearance was as rare as snowfalls in summers.

I could detect the guilt all over his face, I tilted my head unable to find out the reason behind that look. He pulled a chair towards me, regardless surprised me as a single word didn't come out of his mouth.

He sat down but his sight was on the ground, "Dad?" again the same utterances. Taking his hands in mine, I asked him to get over his sufferings, that's when I noticed shed rolling down his face. Instantly I wiped it off and waited for his problems.

"I'm so sorry, Jae pressurised me to commit that sin, I always wished that you stay happy because I am already regretting after letting Ji-Hoon choose a business, I'm so sorry, it bothered me for months and I finally gathered the courage to apologies. Please forgive me," for a minute I didn't utter anything, because if his words were false however his expression proved that he was guilt over his doings in the past, I cleared my throat, "It's alright, there is nothing I can do right now because the person whom I wished for back then, isn't right here, please don't ever feel sorry, you are my parent and you have all right," I got up from the bed and hugged him from behind wrapping hands around his neck, I left a kiss on his right cheek, he giggled and stroked my hair.

"Let's have breakfast," he whispered and I felt so light after seeing his natural self. "I will be down after taking shower," he nodded and went away from there, he straightened his back to get out of the room but I noticed something that he kept over the nightstand and slammed the door shut.

"What is it?" I hurried towards the same and took that small wooden box in my hands.

Slowly opening it, my expression took a change of sadness and happiness at the same.

*FLASHBACK*

"Dad, what are you doing?" I asked him, jumping, dancing around his figure while he was seated on a chair, making something which I couldn't get an image of, I was seven years old back then.

He chuckled.

"Nothing," he just mumbled, giving me his happy face while tiptoed to catch a sight of but the only thing I noticed was it was purple and something was like wool.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

I laughed out of happiness while tears were falling continuously made its way, there were socks for me with the same purple colour, same fabric, other than this there was a letter which got my attention, putting the socks aside I grabbed it.

Dear Daughter,

I am sorry that I didn't give these at the time you needed them as after I got busy with work, business, but someday ago I went to the storeroom and looked for the old things that were where I got these, the remembrance filled my eyes with water. I know I didn't come up as a good father for you two and I regret it now, seeing my family broken, I love you so much but the business kept me blindfolded for long that I forgot to play a role of a good father for you. I hope you can forgive me.

Your dad

~

A big smile crept on my lips and caressed those things while heading downstairs to hug him tightly, "Thank you," I whispered and unlocked the door, while steps hurried on the stairs.

"Slow down," my brother said from the living room, but the one person I needed right now was him, "Where is dad? Aunt?" I asked aunt who was cleaning the dining room, she looked up for connecting her sights.

"He left for a business trip just after he headed downstairs."

"Huh?" I didn't know what was to utter as it was quite surprising for me because just before two days, he returned from a business trip and now again.

"What happened?" brother mumbled was walking in my direction, fixing the hem of his shirt.

"Oh, nothing, I didn't know that dad would leave this soon," mumbling those words I headed towards my room.

"Where is Ari?" Ji-Hoon asked.

"In the kitchen," she whispered.

"And mom?"

But this time there wasn't any response from her side, which he understood easily as she would be drinking the whole night in my club.

He ignored them and moved towards the kitchen.

"Aren't you ready for the office?" he asked, taking a glimpse of her, "Give me some time, I will get changed," she said and tried to get out of there. He smirked and held her wrist, pulled towards his chest, "What?" she uttered while struggling to loosen the grip, however, it only tighten the more she tried.

Not uttering anything, he closed his eyes and moved his face closer to her, wanting to get a morning kiss, she giggled, was about to peck his lips but the appearance of Jee-Ho took the happening with U-turn, with a punch in his stomach, she moved out of the kitchen while he hissed at the sudden pain, "You are-" he stopped when he caught the sight of her, the moment was so embarrassing that he closed his eyes with regretful looks over his face.

"Jin-He, why these flowers every day?" Bae's voice dropped in my ears as I was planting a tree of rose in the backyard of his house from the day he left me alone here, I laughed at her because this was her everyday confusion over my doings while struggling to stand up, she helped me little. It would be my surprise for him the day he returns from the US.

"These are for Sung-Ho, I want him to see these roses the day he would come back here, this would be my surprise for him," she understood and nodded. We moved back to our car to grab a coffee from the cafe.

"I'm sure he would love it," she mumbled while climbing inside the car.

I winked at her and started to drive towards the cafe where Mi-Sun was waiting for us.

"Are you ready my brother?" Justin mumbled while we were walking down to reach our apartment. "For what?" I shrugged off not understanding his question.

"Tomorrow you would be the new CEO, I must say you thwarted me just in about a month, you worked hard, I'm proud of you," I laughed at his words and peeked beside, "You are younger than me," I said.

"They can't be proud of their elders one," he said while twisting the doorknob of the room.

"Alright, I will get back after taking shower, make sure to make something to eat," he said while getting inside the bathroom.

Taking off the suit, I walked to the kitchen area for making a bread toast with coffee. Rolling the sleeves to the elbow I started with the cooking.

However, a call suddenly interrupted me in-between, it was an unknown number, I picked up and turn on the speaker.

"Hello?" I said.

"Hey, how are you doing?" I was confused when the voice of a male figure dropped in my ears, it seemed of someone familiar but couldn't make sure of whose so I continued with the talks.

"You must not know me but it's Tae-Hyun," I facepalmed myself realising him.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I couldn't recognize you through call,"

"It's alright," he whispered as his tone suddenly turned into a serious tone.

But before he could utter I let out my biggest carving. "Hows Jin-Ae?"

He chuckled.

"What's wrong? What made you laugh?"

"Oh, I just noticed that before anything else you only cared for her, it's kinda nice," I smiled.

"Umm...I can't say because the day I was denied for wedding, neither she contacted me nor I," he made worried about her, as the worry grabbed my heart.

" I'm sure, she is doing great but her family situation has become the nastiest," again his words hitched my breath as I gulped down a lump down the throat.

"Alright, gotta give you a call later," he said and hung up the call leaving me in worry.

"Hey bro, what are you doing?" Justin's voice occurred in the space, snapping me out of my worries. "Huh?" His disappointed face turned to my side, signalling me to look over the mess I created, "Shit, I'm sorry," I mumbled and looked in disbelief at those burned toast.

"Alright, but where were you?" he asked, "It's nothing," I ignored as I didn't wish him to let him know the reason behind this mess.

"Are you going to tell me or not?" his warning hit me as I giggled before grabbing the coffee and going into the balcony.

"Tell me."

"I received a call before minutes ago, and I came to know her family situation was worst, I'm worried about her, she never had a loving family and her mother is the evil there, I am worried that she might not do anything wrong to her as the wedding didn't happen as planned," I explained to him while sipping the coffee.

"If you're that much worried about her then you should give her a call," he suggested but it only resulted in me, raising an eyebrow in his direction.

"Oh please, don't give me that look, call her right now," he demanded.

"But I don't have her number on this cell phone," I put up an excuse to avoid any conservation with her.

"Don't fool me, do you think I would be fooled by your behaviour, I'm dead sure that you would have her number, be fast," he giggled a little, after catching me red-handed. Yes, I had her number but for this time I didn't dare to call her, the only call was from her months ago.

"Doing it or not?" I nodded instantly and dialled her number, my heartbeat reached at max pace, bringing it near your ear.
