You Lied Again

Time elapsed, Lisa was so upset with him. So, she thought of maintaining her distance from him a little. But she was so unsure about his feelings because he was stuck in between Lisa and her mother. Neither he could make himself get out of from misunderstanding nor Lisa could. But he felt relieved when he thought that Lisa's mother would take a step ahead in her plan and that day she thought of going before Lisa. He tried his best to talk to her but every time he tried, he failed. He wanted to have some minutes with her to talk about her mother but she didn't seem to feel attracted to his words.

Her mother knew about what was going in between them. So, not to make the situation worse. She thought to herself about going before Lisa by herself.

On her way back home, Lisa encountered a woman who came in front of her from nowhere. Lisa couldn't see her face as she covered her face with a mask because she didn't want to be seen by someone known around. She held Lisa's wrist and asked her to come inside with her. But she withheld her request. So, her mother thought of taking off the mask from her face. The moment she took off her mask, Lisa blinked multiple times because she couldn't believe that her mother was standing in front of her. She froze there for seconds and she felt that her mind stopped working. Tears left her eyes and she turned her gaze in the other direction, trying to hide her tears. Her mother made her get in to make things clear to her. She couldn't take off her eyes. She wiped her tears, looked away and thought that might be she was dreaming but not when she saw Louis's figure standing there too. Lisa turned her gaze towards her mother's face and raised one of her eyebrows. She tried to hold Lisa's hand but she yanked her hands from her.

"Lisa, listen to her for once," he spoke, breaking the silence among them. Lisa turned her livid gaze towards him and said, "you lied again," with a cracked voice. Lisa wanted to hug her mother so tight but also hated the fact that she didn't tell her about her existence.

"My daughter, I hide the truth from you because of your safety from that lady. You know your stepmother lives with you and now I couldn't bear the pain of losing someone again," her mother and few tears left her eyes too. She took some steps ahead to hold her in arms but Lisa stopped her from doing that.

"You knew about me, you knew that I was so alone without you and dad. You knew that I had a hard time. YOU KNEW THAT I MISSED YOU BUT WHY YOU STOOD SO FAR FROM ME-," she couldn't finish her words and broke down, her sobs were telling her mother that how she stood so strong against the world. But she managed to wipe her tears and hide the pain.

"Why you made me suffer this much? huh?" she whimpered.

"I'm so sorry for that," her mother said, without saying anything more, Lisa left and made her way to her house.

Her mother asked Louis to go after her. He made his way in her direction and shouted her name multiple times to make her stop in her way but she didn't seem to stop.

So, he tried to run faster to make her stop in her way. He came and stood before her. She asked him to move aside to let her go but he didn't. So, Lisa moved to another side and tried to take steps ahead in her direction but he held her wrist.

"I know you are angry but please listen to me for once," he begged.

She stayed silent for seconds and said, "Why should I listen to your talks? huh?" she whimpered.

"Because you should know about everything," he said trying to convince her.

"What if you lie again?" she asked.

"You are wrong Lisa. And that day I didn't meet any girl but her and I didn't tell you because she wanted your safety and if I told you by any change about your mother then it would make situations hard for you both," he finally made everything clear to her.

"But still you lied," she said.

"Lisa, please try to understand the situation you know that I never lied to you before but here I was asked to keep it a secret," he explained.

She sighed and gave him a disappointed look.

"You didn't trust me then I guess," she said and made her way.

Louis couldn't process her words and turn around with a confused expression on his face. He called out her name but she couldn't think of anything other than her mother.

without thinking twice she turned around and ran as fast as she could, she got inside the house and saw her mother sitting on a couch. she went near her and hugged her very tightly. Her mother was taken aback by her sudden action and hugged her back even tighter. Lisa cried her heart out and told her mother how much she missed her in those days.

"I missed you so much," Lisa finally said those words to her mother. Her mother felt so happy to have her in her arms after so long.

But they didn't know that someone was watching them. And it was Louis. He was so happy to see both of them together.

"I'm so sorry that you had to face a hard time without me," her mother said.

I guess that's all worth it, " Lisa said and hugged her again.

Her mother pecked her forehead and said, "Now, you'd have only a happy time."

Lisa smiled.

After some time, Louis said to Lisa, " Now let's go otherwise your stepmother would find about it."

She didn't want to let go of her mother's embrace. But he asked her to make it quick.

With a long face, she got up and kissed her mother on her cheeks and said bye.
