Days to weeks washed, Lisa heading to the bedroom, she was really tired, coming from the hospital, Louis didn't know that she went to the hospital nor she informed him about the appointment.
It was 9 pm, she went alone and what was driving him crazy and on top of that she didn't tell him, or asked him to company her, coming at night.
Lisa twisted the knob of the door, and she faced angry Louis, knowing what she had to face, she tried to act casually, putting up an act of a romantic wife.
"Hey, my husband. When did you come home from the company?" she expected him, wrapping her hands around his torso.
"Louis?" she named him again but he didn't spare a glance on his wife, who was begging for his attention. Not answering her so, she stood on her toes and pecked his lips.
"Listen to me, first and then you can get angry. I went to the hospital with your mom, I didn't go alone, she was there with me the whole time, and I'm sorry that I didn't inform you because you were struggling with work so, I'm sorry. Now speak up my ghost," she expressed politely.
No response.
"Alright, don't," she said and moved to the closet for taking a warm shower.
"But you should have informed me, I was worried for you when I didn't see you in the house," he murmured to himself. And went to bed, pretending to be angry even after she clarified everything.
Pulling the blanket, he sat down and thought over the incident for the whole time, waiting for her to get out of the bathroom.
"Come fast, Lisa?" he spoke under his breath. And after some time, she walked out with a towel wrapped around her body.
She didn't look at him and got changed into her pyjamas. She was doing her night routine when he got back to the past, memorising the moment when he came to know that he was soon to be called daddy, he was beyond shocked, after getting to know that. His happiness had no bonds, remembering the moments, he looked at her, smiling at her, his stares were full with love.
And that's when he noticed a baby bump, a little curve, when she dried her hair, her belly was shown to him. He didn't notice her words, when she asked him, "What are staring at?"
He didn't answer, but then he jumped out of the bed and making her amazed because a few minutes before, he was an angry bird but then he showed different colour.
"What happened?" she asked again, walking towards her and looked at her in the mirror, smoothing her cheeks, "I'm sorry but I was worried for you," he talked softly.
"I understand, my baby," she asserted.
Slowly, he pulled up her shirt and ran his hands over her little belly, which was growing bigger day by day.
Gently, she leaned over his chest, smiling at him and she also put her hands on his.
"Our baby is getting bigger," she mumbled.
"It's amazing," he whispered, before kissing her lips passionately.
Something was mesmerising for her, seeing him, and how truly he was happy to see his baby.
"Let's go to bed," she muttered and then they both laid down in each other's arms.
"What doctor said?" he asked, rubbing her belly with one hand, and with another, he caressed her hair.
"She said that our baby is doing good inside me, and she also praised me for taking good care of baby, but all thanks to you for always looking after us. I love you," she let out.
"It's alright, I promise to take care of you both till the end and don't be like that, it's my responsibility and my love for you two, " he expressed.
"What do you wish for?" she asked out of sudden.
"A daughter like us, kinda stubborn like you, and loving like me," he explained, without thinking twice.
"But what if it would be a baby boy then I guess you are discriminating between them," she said while looking into his eyes.
"I guess you are right," he sounded.
"I know but what if it would come out to be baby boy," she said, with a thinking expression.
"It's doesn't matter, my love for them will be as same," he whispered and pulled her towards him.
"Let's sleep, it getting late," he said, pulling the blanket over her, and cuddled.
"Good night,"
"Good night," she muttered.
At midnight, she had an urge to throw up and quickly she moved to the washroom.
"I guessed this would be happening in the starting months, but now this is driving me mad," she groaned as her stomach flipped again. Louis noticed her, and instantly went to her, rubbing her back softly.
"This is tough for me," she whined.
"Don't worry, try to bear it for few more months, some women experience sickness for the whole time, take it easy," he said quietly.
"But this is so much, I can't," she said, tears filling up her eyes, he was worried, seeing her like that.
"Take a deep breath, Lisa," he whispered while pulling her hair behind her ear. Before she could let out anything to him, she leaned forward and emptying her stomach again.
"Louis, I can't bear this anymore," she pleaded, glancing at him, wiping the tears away from her face, his hands travelled down to her belly, rubbing it gently and tried to make her feel light.
"Come and let's sleep," he said,
She hummed and washed her mouth, and with his support, she made up to the bed.
"Sleep good," he mumbled, before pecking her forehead and laid beside her, pulling her in his arm, he closed his eyes.
Lisa couldn't help but feel fortunate to have him at that time. She smiled and turned to see him sleeping, tightly hugging her.
The next day, Lisa was searching for a good and healthy dish on the menu while he rubbed her belly, chuckling at him, being so caring even in public places.
They went out for lunch, as Lisa begged him to take her to the nearby cafe.
"I know you are hungry and my baby too but make it quick, it's already half an hour, you are looking for a dish, " he cooed softly.
"But why are so hungry, you had your breakfast just a few hours before," he pleaded.
"I don't know but I feel hungry often,"
"No issue," he said and looked around in the cafe, where he found Isabella, sitting in the corner, speaking with one of her friends.
He waved in her direction, "Isabella?" he said it loud to grab her attention. She looked, following the sound, and there she noticed him, waving at her. She smiled and excused her friend for a while.
"What a presence, you two are here," she asked surprisingly.
"Yes, today we came out for lunch," Lisa whispered and asked her to sit on the chair.
"Oh, nice," Isabella mumbled.
Lisa usually go straight with the pancakes slathered in whipped cream and some fruits on top. She had never been a savoury person but ever since she got further into the pregnancy stage, she started craving for the things, she never wished for.
When the waiter came back around, she ordered pancakes for all three of them. But Isabella looked at her, raising her eyebrow slightly.
"Do you know what craving savoury means?" she asked with a smile.
"I'm hungry?"
"Means you are probably having a baby boy," Isabella said with a smile.
"Really? but I want a baby girl," he said, looking at Lisa's bump.
She looked down at her baby bump, rubbing circles on it, she mumbled, "I wanting to see you soon, my baby boy," he found it hard to wipe off that smile after hearing her say those words.
He always wanted a baby girl but it didn't mean that he would not love his baby boy.
"Let's wait for him together," he mumbled to her, with a smiling face, but it seemed like he was holding onto his tears.
"As soon as possible, I want to know about it," Lisa sounded.
"Just wait for some time more and then you can know it for sure," Isabella said with a happy expression.
"yeah!!!" he said and rubbed her belly softly.
"Love you, my angel," he spoke.
