Entrance Test

Previously we saw how Ray met Letecia, they became friends and Letecia took Ray with her.

Now, In the morning Ray wake up to the sound of a coffee blending machine. when he opened his eyes, he saw Letecia making Coffee."Good morning Letecia, What is the time now?" Ray asked lazily. Leticia replied "Oh I see you woke up, Not much just 7:48", "Ok only 7:48, wait what, it's already 7:48" Ray jumped off his bed,he put on the clothes he first got , took a loop of bread in his mouth and ran outside saying bye.

The time of exam was 8 AM , Ray ran all the way and barely managed to get by 7:59 . He barely grasping his breath saw a magnificent site , Thousands of students were standing in line and there were invigilators on the stage. Ray slowly walked and joined a line without making a sound , He was shocked when he first saw the invigilator was Trev and a woman in her thirties. " Welcome everyone , as you all know today is the day of selecting Students for our academy . WFA is the first flighters academy and greatly acknowledged in the world. Whoever selected in the academy have a bright future ahead of them but don't think it's as easy as walking in a garden [garden lol ]. You have to rely on yourselves ,your willpower , strength , stamina and intelligence to complete the trials." the woman told and said that Trev will tell the rules before the first trial. " Hello everyone, I am Trev , will now announce the rules and prizes for the top 10 participants. The first trial is to see the strength of yor leg muscles, you have to jump as high as you can without using bouncers or power , if found using any of them ,you will be disqualified . Now regarding the prizes , the first place will be directly taught by our principal, the world famous professor ,professor Twig and will recieve access to research centre, the second and third place will recieve education from our headmaster and rest will be put in Genius class with best teachers and equipments. So let the exam begins." After finishing his lines ,sign was made to begin the exam . we were taken to a sand field and were called one by one.

" Zara , lorence , Rita ,...." one by one names were called . Ray was nervous , he closed his eyes and imagined the picture of his parent , took a long breath and relaxed. Then Ray's name was called ," Coming " Ray told and moved to the stage."Oh Ray relax , how you have been lately ? Good luck on your exam." Trev told Ray ,"Thanks Trev but I am okay , did you forgot I am the greatest Flighter in the world , haha "Ray replied. " yeah you are the greatest hahahaha " Trev replied sarcastically. " No talking in the exam . Trev you are an invigilator , don't talk to students. okay then let us start the exam. " the woman said and took him to the centre of the sand field. "Ok you will get 2 minutes to jump , jump as high you can . The higher you jump the higher your evaluation will be " the woman explained and said " Let the fire begins".

Ray took a deep breath ,counted upto three ,put all his muscle strength in his foot and jumped. After recording his data ,he was sent off. After his test he heard the voice calling " next" . Ray went to a nearby coffee stand to get a coffee , He saw Letecia there selling Coffee.

" Oh Ray , how's the exams going?" she asked. "Oh the exams are going fine ,but what are you doing here? " Ray asked. "I am just selling Coffee to earn some extra bucks , you know " she replied and smiled ☺️." But yesterday you were selling bouncers and now coffee." Ray was going to finish his sentence but Letecia stopped him midway and told " yesterday was yesterday and today is today". " Yeah but ..." Ray stumbled and suddenly heard the invigilators calling the students to announce the result of the first test.

Ray ran towards the entrance ,turned back looking at Letecia ,smiled and then ran inside.

Now , Everyone was called to enter the hall where results were announced. Trev and the other invigilators called names one by one and handed the results , "Ray come to the stage" was heard loudly as the voice came from the speaker. Ray went to the stage to collect his result for the first test , he was sweating and his heart was beating fast , it was clear that he was nervous.

Trev handed his paper to Ray , bend forward and whispered in his ear " Congrats Ray , you passed" . Ray came down from the stage, he can't hear anything except only Trev voice was in his mind.He open his paper and saw a detailed report which consist of his name , age , parents or guardian name and his place of birth.

Down in the left corner of the page he saw his marks and ranking. He got 7 out of 10 , while the passing marks was 4 he passed but his ranking was not that great so he was somehow saddened . He saw that he jumped 22 inches , just above the average jump rating.

In normal condition without any jumping support , the person who can jump 24 to 28 Inches are considered very good , people who can jump 20 to 24 inches are considered above average , while people who can jump 16 to 20 inches are considered average and people less than 16 inches are considered poor.

It was true that Ray didn't Came Top of the first test but he passed it, So he along with other passed candidates were taken to a Rocky staircase.

The woman stated " Now we will commence the second round of the exam ".Trev continued the lines " In the second test we will see the will power of students, The staircase consist of 32 steps , whoever who can manage to reach the first 8 steps can pass the test." Trev ended his sentence "But..." the woman continued, " it's not so simple , as one passes each step, the gravitational force also increases by two fold for each steps means for first step it's 2 times than normal , for second its four time and so on.And there's also the condition that you can't use your power to reduce the gravitational force or you will be disqualified."

Now what will Ray do? Will he be able to pass the test? Can Ray surpass his limit? Will people withstand Ray's evolution? And what will be the third test?
