Chapter 1

"Oh- your answer on this one is really different from mine"

"You sure you don't want to keep your answer on that? Because even I'm not sure on what's the correct answer to that question"

"It's fine, yours are more trustable than mine"

A disappointed sigh escapes the brunette's lips, she can't believe how that's her excuse for copying her take home quiz. She gets that their mentor on this field is a kind-hearted one but really, they shouldn't take them for granted.

"I forgot to tell you last night but have you heard about life regressions?", the copying noirette asks.

"No Alice, I haven't but I did hear the bell ringing", another disappointed breath of air goes out of the brunette's mouth. She couldn't help it, she's worried for the both of them getting caught.

"Yes yes dear Catherine~ I just finished, see?so cheer up~!" Alice , the noirette, cheerfully says. Quickly passing her friend's notebook back to the brunette as she cleans up her things and stuff them back properly in her bag.

'Life regressions..' , Catherine or Cath rethinks what Alice said. It sounded pretty interesting to her since she have never heard of it but has a rough idea of what it could mean based on its name alone. Cath brings her attention back to the professor in front of them after staring at a silly doodle she did whenever she's thinking about something. 'I wonder if this one has to do with spiritual things again..so I'm not too surprised if it is since she does talk a lot about the universe and spiritual emotions. Hopefully it's not something silly though since it had caught my interest.' A pair of amethyst eyes skims over the writings on the board, they look very appealing to the eyes but never to the mind of the majority of the current people in the room. A light click of her tongue sprouts from realizing once again that she's stuck and forced to listen to something she doesn't even like. History. While she understands learning the past of the very place she's born in is important along it's 'greatness', Cath finds it simply uninteresting.

Meanwhile in Alice's class, she was taking a nap when an acquaintance taps on her shoulder so gently but firmly that she knew who's hand it belongs to immediately. "Is it break time yet Lily..? I'm a bit sleepy today..", just as she said those last words, a yawn escapes her glossed lips. Lily only giggles softly at her and shakes her head "It's only a few more minutes before break time so try to keep yourself awake. Ms. Villa have already been stealing glances at you", at those words, the sleepy black haired student straightens her back while reluctantly saying words of agreement. It's one of the few days she's actually willing to sleep in classes today as she have found a splendid book yesterday. It was a hefty one and had an interesting synopsis, so she went ahead and read it for almost half of the day literally. It was a romance novel that revolved around the tough life of being a princess that found her lover amongst the lower class. She admits that it was a bit cliché but the way it was delivered and the excellent twists it contained..! A dreamy sigh escapes alice's lips as she remembers the book. If that masterpiece was a dish, it would be a delectable and flavorful one! A one of a kind! In the end of the story however, it was her lover's loving parents that did not approve of them for they believed the princess would be one of those wretched and terrific upper-class that gains pleasure in watching people below her suffer. When they continued to refuse, the princess took it upon her and worked her very best to be the first ever independent queen then practically ordered for that man to accept her love and stand by her side as her personal knight.

As Alice was daydreaming about her favorite books again, the British woman, Lily, next to her takes one last glance at her daydreaming form and confirming she's well and woken up now, the soft motherly girl continues to write down important notes.

Cath stretches her arms in front of her and proceeds to remove her round glasses, taking out its case then its little fabric. Cleaning it gently so as to not accidentally break it again like the last glasses she had. It was a black rectangular one- she didn't really like how it looked on her face so she was a bit relieved when it broke although she also felt guilty since glasses can be expensive from what she hears her parents say. It was even her second-? No- third pair of glasses. The first one she had was when she was around the age of nine, it was a thin pink pair of glasses and she was often teased as 'old hag' because it looked like something a grandma would wear. It annoyed her slightly at that time but others shared their thoughts on how she looked like a teacher too and she took that as a good compliment- someone who has vast knowledge on a particular category. Then came her second one, she couldn't remember it for some reason. What it looked like, when she had it...nothing comes up but oh well, she must've broke it or got it changed pretty early. As for her current one-

Her head was suddenly tapped by a book and cath immediately knew the only one who would do that to her- Ovin. He's a friend she had for almost two years now, they first met through someone in their sophomore year whereas they're currently in 9th grade.

" You done daydreaming yet? " , the man with pitch black hair says as he keeps his book on top of my head.

" Yes, yes I am" , I put back the small fabric back into its case and wear my glasses back. Standing up as he only then retreats his book back from my head, cleaning my desk and closing my bag after, I turn to him as a silent way of saying 'I'm ready'. He nods lightly and starts to walk towards the door, holding it open for a few seconds as I walk through it with him following behind me and closing it.

We stayed silent together while walking out of the school field and into the gate then we give each other a nod as another silent way of saying goodbye. We weren't really the type to talk or even bother with it if that wasn't obvious enough but we did develop a habit of walking together out of school, it was like a silent friendship.

Now that I'm home and in my comfortable clothes, I pull up my phone to see Alice online and immediately starts a conversation with her about the thing she mentioned earlier. The conversation went on for awhile with us chatting like we've never talked before and even more so because of the current topic. I found out it did have something to do with body spirits and such but that wasn't all, it included an experience at our previous lives so I gave in pretty easily when she mentioned of trying to do it at the weekend. She'll send me a link that will apparently guide us through it and we'll be in our past life in no time. So off I go sleeping, wondering what could I have been before and how I died.

If only I knew what'll happen, I wouldn't have agreed.
