Gossip

The next morning Luna had woken up fairly early. She sighed as she thought about all of the things she needed to do today. Rubbing her head she got up feeling lazy but she still went to the bathroom and got ready for school.

After she was done she went downstairs where breakfast was ready. Maiko's parents had hired a maid to take care of the house when they were gone, which was most of the time. The woman's name was Amanda. She had brown hair and hazel eyes and was a pretty sweet lady. She took care of Maiko and Chiyo most of the time.

Luna went towards the table and sat down to eat breakfast. " Hey Amanda." She said.

" Good morning sugar." The woman said happily. " Did you have a good date yesterday?" The woman asked excitedly with the air of gossip around her.

Luna looked at her with a thin smile and answered, " I couldn't go since I slipped on the bathroom floor and my back hurt a lot."

Amanda looked surprised and then worried. " Is your back alright now sugar?"

She asked.

" No it's alright now." Answered Luna.

" If you say so." Said Amanda while still looking worried.

" Don't worry! I am fine." Luna reassured.

Amanda nodded and went back to doing what she was doing before Luna came, which was washing the dishes.

Luna looked at the lady for a bit and went back to her breakfast. After she was done she realized that Chiyo didn't come to eat breakfast. Luna looked at Amanda, who was still working and asked, " Where is Chiyo?"

Amanda looked at her with a bit of surprise since the sisters had not been talking to each other for almost a month now. Her moment of surprise did not escape Luna's eyes but she decided on staying silent.

After some time Amanda finally replied, " She went to school early, sugar."

Luna nodded and walked towards the front door and towards the garage where her motorcycle was waiting for her. Maiko was the tomboy type. Cold, indifferent and boyish with her own kind of charm. She had long hair that she always tied up in a ponytail. She was the type who hung out with boys more than girls. Chiyo was the complete opposite. She was a total girly girl. Pink hair, long nails and short hair. Nobody would assume that they were sisters by looking at them. At first glance Maiko would look like the bad apple out of the two but they couldn't be more wrong. She always topped her class. Captain of the all girls football team. Chiyo on the other hand had good grades but not the top ones. She was a cheerleader and someone who liked going to clubs and parties. They both had their charms and ups and downs. Though they were different they got along just fine until recently.

Luna sighed at all the information the system gave her. The sisters were really good to each other. She couldn't get why they had to ruin that friendship for a boy.

She started the motorcycle and rode it to school. The moment she parked her bike a group approached her. There were two girls and two boys. These were Maiko's friend group. Their names were Sky, Everest, Rocky, and Juma.

Sky and Everest were twins. Both had the same hair color but different eye colors that matched with their parents. Sky took after Mrs.Rodrigo and Everest took after Mr.Rodrigo. Rocky and Juma were cousins with Rocky being one year younger than everyone else. Everyone was quite close in the group.

Luna greeted everyone as soon as she saw them. The rest did the same to her.

Sky being the cheerful one in the group spoke first. " Damn, I heard that you stood up on your date with Tashiro last night. What happened?"

Luna looked at Sky and then at the others. Though the rest were quiet, one could see the gossipy glint in their eyes. Maiko's group of friends were more mature than most terns but they were still teens. The gossip couldn't be helped.

Luna raised a brow. " And where did you hear that from?"

" Tashiro of course. The whole school's talking about it. The Ice queen went on a date for the first time but stood up on her date. Her crush at that. Even the teachers know that you sisters like him. You stooding up on him was news. So what happened?"

" I had a moment of clarity." Said Luna as she started walking towards the school.

" So you finally realized that he was not worth it?" Asked Everest.

" Yupe." Answered Luna. As she and her group of friends were walking, everyone was throwing looks at them. The onlookers' eyes hold many emotions starting from admiration and envy and ending at gossip. So when Sky said the whole school knows, she wasn't joking. Luna thought while holding back a sigh. This was work but lucky not much.

As she and her friends made their way to the locks someone approached Luna and her friend group from the front.

" We need to talk." Declared the person.

Luna looked at Tashiro with a gaze of uninterest while Tashiro looked at her with a gaze of suppressed fury and disappointment. This was the first time for Tashiro to have someone stood up on him. He was always given everything he needed and wanted on a silver platter and this time, he thought, would be the same. He wouldn't have imagined Maiko stooding up on him. This being his first time, he felt humiliated.

Murmurs broke out from the surrounding students and the air of gossip grew thicker and thicker. Everyone was waiting to see a good drama.

Luna tilted her head slightly and answered with a tone of disguised uninterest. " Sure. You can say what you want here."

Tashiro looked at the people surrounding them and them looked at Luna. He had no idea why Maiko wanted him to talk here.

********************

I finally got myself to finish this chapter. Anyways, this world will be a simple school drama which I have no experience of writing. Honestly I am only writing the first three worlds to make the story more organized. If not for that I would not have written sush worlds. I know that what I wrote was far from good. So as a promise to the readers, if this book has a fair amount of audience, I will get someone who actually knows what they are going to rewrite these first three worlds. I am just trying to rush through this part of the book so that I can get to the part that actually matters. To all readers, thanks for reading. Please do comment. It helps to motivate me to write more longer chapters.
