Cordelia trudged through muddy puddles with Henry on her back. Her head was running wild with thoughts of what happened a while ago between her and the old man. She could not believe that she did that to him…
The old woman's tough armor began to waver.
She could feel her whole face burn with the memory. The touch and how many times she squeezed… it was utterly embarrassing once Henry was going to wake up.
As she reached the same place that she had left the horse tied to a quiet corner, she heard Henry stir behind her.
"Are you awake? Henry, do you hear me?" the old woman asked.
"Hngh!!!" grunted Henry.
After that single grunt from him, there had been no other response after several minutes Cordelia waited. Not even a sound could be heard from him."
"Alright, up we go!" Cordelia heaved the old man's body behind the horse.
