A Helping Hand

Aleksander's heart almost exploded as he saw his wife mouth the words that he didn't think he wanted to hear so badly. No sound came out of her mouth, but it was enough already to constrict his chest. Happiness was overflowing from inside him.

"My queen," he groaned, as if frustrated by the fact that she was so wonderful it hurt.

"Your majesty," Lady Azalea said as she bowed down, "we pray for your safety and success." She turned to Aleksander and then added, "And you as well, King Aleksander, may your battle be swift, striking fear into the hearts of those that dare to attack our kingdom."

Aleksander and Elys stood side by side, and they bid the young queen's ladies in waiting a temporary farewell.

"I will be back," Elys said with determination, "take care of Cordelia, and the rest of the palace for us."
