Chapter 13 - Thorn of heaven hidden power

Tian Shen sat down on the mountain of the corpses while taking a sip from his gourd that was mostly empty due to being dropped, Fortunately, there are still left and able to wash away the fatigue from his body. The wounds from the attack began to heal rapidly leaving no scar and only smudges of the bloodstain.

He took few minutes before getting off the barely alive [Night Dweller] who had been trying to regenerate yet was far too exhausted to move, letting Tian Shen kill them.

Their battle had given him a valuable experience of battling that had to sharpen his instincts from fighting. It had let his body adjust when needed and precisely know when to reserve his strength to avoid overexerting himself.

When an inexperienced fighter moves they are ended up expending too much stamina from wasteful movement. It is important to have precise control of their attacks to ensure the best result.

Additionally, the battle had let Tian Shen improve his footwork from the constant dodges and evasion, sharpening his awareness of the surroundings increasing his reaction time. A Movement speed and reaction speed are two different things that needed to be considered.

For example, having the technique to move at lightning speed yet doesn't give fast reflexes would easily be defeated by an experienced warrior. A balance between the two is needed to allowing the best result.

It was a strange incident yet his shock grew, even more, when the needle spear vibrates gaining a thicker aura than before. Tian Shen's eyes went wide realizing the weapon had grown into a [Mid mortal tier].

'Normal' [Spirit weapon] is only able to grow along with their master and won't grow if their wielder remains stagnant but the [Thorn of heaven] is able to consume beast core [Qi essence] as if they are cultivating.

"Is that how it is, I'm surprised you told me before consuming the Demon Beast core. Well, next time I'll give you more but don't grow greedy on me."

The needle spear glowed in response that made Tian Shen nodded proceeded to gut the Demon beast core letting the spear consume it and growing stronger yet hadn't broken through to become a [Upper Mortal Tier]. Tian Shen wasn't disappointed knowing how difficult to break through to other stages.

An inscription is a set of written and symbols that can produce different kinds of effects akin to enchanting or runes in western culture. The main thing needed by the inscription master is the quality of the blood ink and the brush being used as well as their skills that can produce different kinds of ranks.

People use inscription are small similar to alchemist but those who is one sought after by many powerful nobles in Azure Dragon City. They have different ranking systems for inscription master which are master, grandmaster, elder, elder master, and elder grandmaster.

They is one only known elder grandmaster of inscription and alchemist inside the Azure Dragon City which is the leader of this established guild.

He stood up then took out his empty gourd taking a large some of the blood. Fortunately, he had taken at least five gourds letting filled the container to brimmed. It would easily give him more than ten thousand Yuan coins.

'At least I gain more in the future.'
