Tian Shen sat down on the mountain of the corpses while taking a sip from his gourd that was mostly empty due to being dropped, Fortunately, there are still left and able to wash away the fatigue from his body. The wounds from the attack began to heal rapidly leaving no scar and only smudges of the bloodstain.
He took few minutes before getting off the barely alive [Night Dweller] who had been trying to regenerate yet was far too exhausted to move, letting Tian Shen kill them.
Their battle had given him a valuable experience of battling that had to sharpen his instincts from fighting. It had let his body adjust when needed and precisely know when to reserve his strength to avoid overexerting himself.
When an inexperienced fighter moves they are ended up expending too much stamina from wasteful movement. It is important to have precise control of their attacks to ensure the best result.
Additionally, the battle had let Tian Shen improve his footwork from the constant dodges and evasion, sharpening his awareness of the surroundings increasing his reaction time. A Movement speed and reaction speed are two different things that needed to be considered.
For example, having the technique to move at lightning speed yet doesn't give fast reflexes would easily be defeated by an experienced warrior. A balance between the two is needed to allowing the best result.
Tian Shen knew all of this when reading a combat story where the character can move in tremendous speed yet ended up defeated because they become predictable once notice the difference between the reaction time.
Regardless, this is the biggest aspect when someone has a solid foundation and understanding of themselves. The young master of many noble families would rely on too much treasure and elixir that would result in weaker battle prowess than what they show. They would have their ego-filled and shatter when face with stronger individuals.
Tian Shen let his needle spear do the work and skewer the demon beast giving their scream of anguish before dying. He took the opportunity to honor them considered their death serves as a foundation for his future growth.
Their death became nourishment for him to be stronger and thankful for the opportunity in giving him insight into combat. He remains grateful even if they were demon beasts who after his life still honor their life.
Tian Shen may appear a lunatic for respecting his opponent but it is what he believes and would remain thankful. It was similar to giving gratitude to a simple meal and the life taken to be their nourishment.
Though, it won't be the same for individuals who would harm the innocent that had the capacity to have morals. Those creatures are far more monstrous than demon beasts. The most terrifying monster is a human being.
A human who is more cunning than a simple demon beast and unpredictable if they were your friend or for. Tian Shen knew this from reading fictional stories and knew that it was true to the real world even though he was incapable of experiencing them personally.
Tian Shen's company is managed by his father and only the who is behind the scene helping them grow into, we'll known company. His company's main focus was technology yet branch out to have more reach increasing their profit.
Nevertheless, he knew most if not all of them aim to gain his company and everything even though they seem friendly. Tian Shen may be kind-hearted yet does not take his innocent to be ignorant as he is not a fool and knows when someone is to be trusted or not.
A human is unpredictable due to how they can have their different values and beliefs which cause discrimination and ignorance. Regardless, a demon beast is much better than a human who is willing to betray their sworn brother from greed or lust.
"Damn what am I going with this corpse then…."
Tian Shen would be able to sell it gaining a large sum of money around ten thousand Yuan coins per body. A Demon beast, Regardless, if it is only [First rank] can easily be sold by the enormous amount of money due to the demand of them. The blood of the demon beast can be used as ink for inscriptions while it's flesh for alchemy.
Furthermore, the skin can be used to make armor if given to blacksmiths though this is dependent on when the corpse contains damages that may lessen the quality.
Tian Shen wasn't thinking about the amount hell gain but rather how he would bring to the market. He doesn't have any spatial ring which causes a hundred thousand Yuan coins for a small amount of space. A spatial ring is a well-known artifact if someone reads Xianxia knows how useful it is in the early stages of cultivation but the higher realm doesn't need them due to having pocket dimension store them.
He was unsure if this world had a stage that let him create pocket dimension and only time will tell when he attains a higher realm. Regardless, it won't be useful for him as there is another problem being that it would expose him to being a cultivator which he doesn't want to reveal till he has protected the orphanage.
Tian Shen doesn't care for himself if a problem arises but couldn't take it when someone he cared about is harmed. He needed the influence to ensure those future enemies would think twice to fight him. Furthermore, hiding his strength is the best way to have a surprise attack on the unsuspecting enemy.
"Well, I could at least sell the core…."
A Demon beast core is the most expensive due to storing a large amount of [Qi essence] that can be used in many ways from elixir to blacksmithing. This is the reason why Demon Beast is stronger than human cultivators because they are born with core immediately after being born while humans needed to reach [Qi condensation] to begin to form their core and fully condense the core after reaching [Warrior] stage
Nevertheless, the quality of [first rank] demon beast core is much lower compare to [Warrior] core.
Tian Shen nodded to himself began to gut the demon beast trying to find the core using his needle spear. The violet blood poured out along with the foul smell but he remains indifferent began to push away the internal organs.
He took a while until finding a small purple bead that radiates a thick aura that by its fragrance removes the foul smell and nourishes his lungs. This was a Demon Beast core that was able to improve someone who is below [Qi condensation] due to the thick [Qi essence].
"Huh!? Do you want this??"
Tian Shen was able to sense his needle spear telling him that it wanted to consume the demon beast that confuses him but agreed as it instantly grew smaller shattering the Demon Beast into dust while absorbing every wisp of the [Qi essence] surprising Tian Shen.
There wasn't a trace of [Qi essence] left from the Demon Beast core only an empty shard remained. It was a strange incident yet his shock grew, even more, when the needle spear vibrates gaining a thicker aura than before. Tian Shen's eyes went wide realizing the weapon had grown into a [Mid mortal tier].
'Normal' [Spirit weapon] is only able to grow along with their master and won't grow if their wielder remains stagnant but the [Thorn of heaven] is able to consume beast core [Qi essence] as if they are cultivating.
"Is that how it is, I'm surprised you told me before consuming the Demon Beast core. Well, next time I'll give you more but don't grow greedy on me."
The needle spear glowed in response that made Tian Shen nodded proceeded to gut the Demon beast core letting the spear consume it and growing stronger yet hadn't broken through to become a [Upper Mortal Tier]. Tian Shen wasn't disappointed knowing how difficult to break through to other stages.
The [Thorn of Heaven] was overjoyed then quickly change into his thorny golden crown on his head. Tian Shen warily smiled at how the weapon acted like a child that after eating quickly slept.
Now he was only left in figuring out on to do with the corpse as it would be ashamed to throw them away.
"Such a waste but without a spatial ring then I can't bring them with me…..might as well use their blood for inscription."
An inscription is a set of written and symbols that can produce different kinds of effects akin to enchanting or runes in western culture. The main thing needed by the inscription master is the quality of the blood ink and the brush being used as well as their skills that can produce different kinds of ranks.
People use inscription are small similar to alchemist but those who is one sought after by many powerful nobles in Azure Dragon City. They have different ranking systems for inscription master which are master, grandmaster, elder, elder master, and elder grandmaster.
They is one only known elder grandmaster of inscription and alchemist inside the Azure Dragon City which is the leader of this established guild.
Tian Shen's overall skills using Celestial Ming knowledge is the only grandmaster due to having no hands-on experience as of yet but the formula inside his head is elder grandmaster. Celestial Ming only provides knowledge that is the highest standard in his world which was enough to be helpful.
He wasn't disappointed for given basic knowledge from Celestial Ming since this information is valuable enough to be used to his advantage. In the end, his knowledge is not his, and thankful enough to be given one.
"I can't do alchemy without a cauldron but the description is different."
Tian Shen uses a piece of his clothes to wipe the blood then uses his finger to draw a strange line and symbols containing a profound meaning into his body that took him half an hour to finish at the utmost concentration. If he were to make mistake in controlling his concentration then the result would be a disaster. Afterward, Tian Shen instantly felt his body began to burn up from the inscription pattern that glowed brightly and promptly sat down into lotus position.
The inscription was poor quality from being forced to use his finger and not a brush yet it was enough. The patterned he grew to increase his [Body tempering] and gathered [Innate Star energy] into his body forging his bone into thicker and denser quality. His breather follows a rhythmic pattern that moves along with dancing grass.
Tian Shen felt excruciating pain from nourishing his bone with the [Innate Star Energy] until the inscription pattern disappeared and dispel the impurities from his body. He opened his eyes taking a deep breath exhausted from feeling his body aching.
'I won't be able to use the same inscription for a while….my body won't be able to handle it.'
He stood up then took out his empty gourd taking a large some of the blood. Fortunately, he had taken at least five gourds letting filled the container to brimmed. It would easily give him more than ten thousand Yuan coins.
'At least I gain more in the future.'
