The Mysterious Side
More than an hour later, Pro finally recovered from his weakness and left the toilet. He stretched a bit as he went into the bedroom and saw the hole through the bedroom door and the wardrobe. The messy strips of clothes were still there, but all the bloody remains of the man were gone.
Glancing at the bloody knives outside, Pro quickly brought two into the bedroom and hid one in the toilet tank. These can serve as weapons when people break into the room next time. There should be a couple knives left in the kitchen.
As for why he had so many knives in the kitchen, it was for self defense. Since he lived in such a shady, remote area, Pro needed some form of self defense, but guns were too expensive, so he could only settle for kitchen knives.
Pro then glanced at the rewards from this fight with a smile.

Pro watched the hole on the bedroom door quickly shrink and recover back to a normal, bed room door.

Staring at the hole in the wardrobe and the strips of clothes, Pro pondered for a bit before agreeing.
With that, the hole in the wardrobe was repaired and the strips of clothes recombined with one another, returning to the wardrobe as the doors to the wardrobe closed.
Pro smiled as he happily concluded, "Fortunately, there is no loss at all. It was a bit expensive to repair everything, but it is worth it as I still had a profit in the end. And this is only when I am only counting the points as I still got other rewards from the fight!"

Hopping on the bed, Pro hugged Alice as he gave her a kiss, "Muah! Baby, your hubby has struck gold~"
Due to Pro hugging Alice's body with too much force, her head disconnected from her body when Pro kissed it. Pro gently placed her body back down and let the head reconnect with the body, "Ah, forgot bout that. Hehe~"
Sitting up on the bed with his legs on the ground, Pro summoned his new boots with a thought and watched it appear on his feet. Pro smiled as he swung his foot around admiring the boots before de-summoning them.
"Well, enough with the excitement. It's time to check what new information the system library has gotten from this guy's memories," Pro thought as he opened the system library and searched for the new info.

From the life summary of the dead guy, Pro learned that the man was a businessman that had a fair amount of assets under his name. He married a lovely wife and had a couple of kids, but they all mysteriously died in a car accident.
During his time of mourning and despair, a mysterious man from a group called the Black Death Society approached him. It was then that he learned that there was a hidden side to this world, a side where individuals can have the mysterious powers to do magical things beyond what humans are capable of. Legendary beings that can control the weather and lay waste to entire cities alone existed.
Not only that, he learned that there were mysterious beings outside of human beings. Ghosts, vampires, werewolves, hell dogs, and other kinds of monsters exist. The danger levels of these monsters are classified into the ranks of white, yellow, orange, red, purple, and black with black being a world destroying level monster. Black rank monsters are usually also known by another name, God.
Most of these monsters stay in hidden realms, but they sometimes escape and invade human society. The man was told that his family was killed by such monsters, but it was covered up by the corrupt government, just like they did with the mysterious side. There was no evidence, but the man somewhat believed it to be true.
The group then told him that he can seek revenge if he gains the mysterious power. In exchange for all his assets, they will give him a chance to join them. They tempted him with the fact that he will gain mysterious power that can help him 'revive' his family, while showing him the spirits that were 'revived'.
The man fell for their temptations for he loved his wife. He joined the society with high hopes after giving them everything, only to learn that he had to start from the bottom. Not only that, he learned that he must earn everything through missions, and most of these missions involves crimes, massacres, sacrifices, and terrorism.
The man was scared at first; however it was too late to leave as that would only mean death. After a long moral dilemma, he eventually succumbed to his desire to revive his family.
It was difficult to rise up as low-level members were exploited by those above, but he believed he can rise in the society like he did with his business ventures. After years of hard work, he finally earned enough contribution from missions to promote to a first level mystic.
A newcomer will first become a mystic apprentice after learning their first general spells or body refining techniques which may include spells such as yin eyes, yin ears, yin body, viral body, etc. There were a variety of them, but most of these spells were auxiliary and are not offensive. Most mystic apprentice will have to rely on artifacts crafted by official mystics to fight off enemies.
After one collected enough mystic materials depending on the the path they want to walk, one can choose to advance a level one mystic, or the so-called official mystic.
There were multiple paths one could take to become a first level mystic. The ones that were controlled by the Black Death Society included Corpse Controller, Viral Soldier, and Spirit Medium.
Corpse Controllers can use rituals to turn corpses into monsters that can fight for them. These monsters may be stitched together from many different corpses of both humans and monsters, resulting in weird combinations with a variety of abilities.
The weakness of this path is that the main body of the host can be as weak as a normal human being. However, the hosts can also try stitching monster parts to themselves to increase their personal strength. Of course, the consequences of this was unknown.
Viral Soldiers are more focused on the physical body of the host. A mystic apprentice must condense a viral body through a special ritual in addition to collecting the materials for the promotion. Viral Soldiers tend to have a strong body that have strength that may be beyond that of two healthy, adult humans combined. The body is also has a strong immunity to most diseases.
Not only that, their body is filled with all sorts of diseases that may be contagious and deadly. These diseases can also be released from the body anytime as an offensive move; however, as a first level mystic, although the Viral Soldiers can contain diseases inside of them, they can't control the diseases they have released, so friendly fire is a common thing. Finally, although Viral Soldiers' bodies are strong, they are still not immune to modern firearms.
Spirit Mediums is somewhat a combination of both. To advance to a Spirit Medium, a mystic apprentice must condense a yin body. Then, the mystic apprentice must find a spirit and contain that spirit into their own body through a special ritual.
The ranks of spirit known by the man are Lingering Spirit, Baleful Spirit, and Blood Spirit. These ranks are respectively equivalent to the monsters ranks of white, yellow, and orange to red. There are ranks above that, but it is unknown to the man.
The man only knows that to complete the ritual, any spirit below the Blood Spirit rank is needed, but the stronger, the better. Of course, the stronger the spirit, the higher chance of backlash and failing the ritual.
Although a Spirit Medium's strength is not as outstanding as a Viral Soldier, nor can it control an army of corpses like the Corpse Controller, the Spirit Medium is known for having the strangest abilities of the three.
By containing a spirit in their body, Spirit Mediums will gain all the special abilities of the spirit they contain, including the ability to hide their existence like a ghost. Spirit Mediums may also be able to communicate with other spirits using their own contained spirit and may be able to gain intelligence through nearby spirits in the area.
Not only that, Spirit Mediums can contain more spirits into their body as it gets stronger through external assistance, gaining a variety of strange abilities. However, the more spirits contained in one's body, the higher chance that there may be a backlash.
Except the first spirit that a Spirit Medium contains, the other spirits may escape if the Spirit Medium is weakened. Also, Spirit medium also gains the weakness of the spirits they contain. The more spirits they contain, the greater the weakness they have towards sunlight. Even when completely covered in clothes, Spirit Mediums may still be harmed by sunlight when going out during the day.
Shockingly, this old apartment building turns out to be a spirit farm created by an elder of the Black Death Society, and the spirits inside are 'sold' to mystic apprentices who need them to advance to a Spirit Medium. There are also corpse monsters that can be used by Corpse Controllers, too.
Usually, there are no new spirits in the building unless they are accidentally formed from unlucky visitors, but these spirits only served as food for the other spirits. The elder only comes to replenish the spirits once per year, and for the rest of the time, the spirits are left to grow on their own course. As for how the elder kept the spirits and corpses from escaping, that is unknown to the man.
Staring at the described ritual and requirements for a Spirit Medium, Pro can conclude that he may be able to become a Spirit Medium if he finds a spirit to contain as his ghost body is already technically a yin body. But, he's a spirit already. If he doubles his weakness, won't he just drop dead when he comes into contact with sunlight?
As for the other two paths, the man did not have any information on their rituals or material costs. After all, mysterious knowledge isn't free, not only are the materials expensive, but even the recipe itself is expensive. Even the general skills for mystic apprentice are not free, and Pro only got the ritual required to gain the yin eyes from the man, but he didn't have any of the required materials.
Well, he didn't even need the yin eyes anyways, but he still felt that it was weird that they would let low level mystics gain the yin eyes. Of course, seeing spirits will allow you to fight them, but what if you were to see something you should not see with those eyes? After all, gods do exist in this world, and the Black Death Society just so happens to worship the moon.
Staring at the moon, an uncomfortable feeling arose inside Pro. If he was an accident to the elder who created this building, could the real black hand be that existence up there?
