Peeking through the wall and seeing the empty, silent living room, Pro cautiously stepped through the wall to scout.
[Warning! Host is leaving his designated domain. Host's spirit will gradually dissipate when outside his domain. Once the spirit dissipates, the host will cease to exist.]
[Time remaining until spirit dissipates: 300 seconds]
Keeping the warning in mind, Pro began to explore the living room and kitchen area.
Unlike Pro's apartment, Room 446 seemed to be much more furnished. Besides a brown, fabric sofa, there was a clean coffee table. Against the wall between the bathroom and the bedroom doors, an aquarium tank, empty of water, sat on top of of a plywood stand. Inside was an two-layer exhibition featuring a cave-like structure for the bottom layer and a dense layer of foliage for the top layer. However, the tank seemed to be devoid of life. There was also a wooden wine cabinet against the wall by the kitchen, but it was empty of wine and was simply there to gather dust.
Unlike Room 442, the kitchen light flicked on with no problem, albeit with a bit of flickering. Glancing at the still working appliances, Pro tilted his head in confusion, "I guess not all apartments are scary and out of service?"
Calmly walking over to the refrigerator with his yin claws prepared, Pro opened it to reveal a completely empty fridge.
"Nothing? Why does everything seem to be empty in this apartment room?" Pro muttered in confusion, "And where are the spirits?"
Glancing at the closed bedroom and bathroom doors, Pro frowned a bit before he strolled back to his domain, "Let's recharge a bit before continuing the exploration."
After restoring his energy and recovering from his weakness, Pro headed over to the door closer to the wall of his domain, the bedroom door of apartment 446. With a swipe of his claws, Pro broke the lock of the door. He then gave the door a shove and watched it creak open slowly to reveal the bedroom.
The bedroom furnishing was not lacking at all, but Pro frowned as he stared at the thick layers of spider webs covering everything in addition to the layers of webs draping down from the ceiling like blankets, "Spiders?"
Peeking into the room cautiously, Pro saw no signs of life, but he can't tell if there is monsters hidden behind the thick layer of webs because the web blankets obscured his vision.
"Well, sorry if I disturbed you," Pro whispered as he shut the bedroom door.
Seeing nothing happening, Pro glanced at the bathroom door and timidly went back to his domain to recover first. Then, he strolled up to the bathroom door of room 446 and broke the lock with his claw, "Hopefully I can repair this when I expand over, or else people will have to use the toilet without locking the bathroom."
With a push of the door, it creaked open to reveal a bathroom that was almost identical to apartment 444's bathroom.
"If the mirror was still there in my bathroom, it would be exactly the same?" Pro muttered with a frown, "Why is this bathroom so similar? Room 442's bathroom still had some minor differences, albeit similar."
The mirror in the bathroom reflected the doorway where Pro is standing, revealing his figure even if he goes into ghost mode. However besides this, Pro noticed nothing wrong although the atmosphere was a bit gloomy. The light in the kitchen flickered a couple of times, distracting Pro from his thoughts. He gently shut the door to the bathroom and returned to his domain to recover.
"Now the exploration is done, but I didn't manage to get any info on the spirits in that house. Although this may mean that there is no evil spirits in that house, the chances of that are unlikely. So ... the only reason I can't find them is that they aren't showing themselves. Since they have such strong hiding capabilities, they must be a troublesome bunch," Pro frowned in contemplation as he made some plans.
Walking to the kitchen, Pro dug around in a drawer and found a plastic sparkwheel lighter. Pressing the lever and spinning the wheel a couple of times, a tiny flame lit up.
"Sweet, it works," Pro smiled as a plan formed in his mind, "I only need a room to expand to. It doesn't matter what its condition is. In the worst case scenario, the fire will spread and burn towards my domain, but I have enough points to repair my domain barrier to keep the fire out."
Pro then opened a drawer in the kitchen where he kept the toilet paper rolls. Since he had no need to refill the toilet paper for his customers, he happily saved the rest of them in the kitchen drawer. Grabbing a roll in one hand and the lighter in the other, Pro stepped through the wall to begin to light sh*t on fire.
Separating a chunk of toilet paper, Pro lit it on fire with the lighter. He then kicked open the bedroom door and threw the burning toilet paper onto the nearby webs, "Burn, baby, burn~"
It wasn't long before the web caught on fire and the fire began to spread.
Click! Clack! Click!
Clicking and clattering sounds began to echo out from the bedroom as if the beast inside has awakened. As the fire began to spread faster, Pro watched in horror as the spider webs began to grow in an attempt to snuff out the fire. Not only that, the webs began to spread out of the bedroom and into the living room, as if there was something invisible weaving them!
Stepping back, Pro got serious with his job as an arsonist. Separating a couple more chunks of toilet paper, he lit them on fire and began to toss them forward randomly at the webs crawling on the ground. He then swiftly ran over to the sofa, gave it a glance in pity before tossing a piece of burning paper onto it.
Turning around and seeing the burning webs slowly spreading closer on the ceiling, Pro lit another chunk of toilet paper and tossed it onto the sofa to speed up the process. Then, he lit up the rest of the roll of toilet paper, aimed it at the open door of the bedroom, and threw it in, "Fire in the hole!"
With that, Pro batted his butt and dashed through the wall and back into his domain. He then grabbed another roll of toilet paper with a evil snicker, "Hehe, if one is not enough, then we just gotta turn up the heat."
Pro then poked his head through the wall in the kitchen to take a peek of the situation. In the short moment that Pro was gone, the webs had already spread to the burning sofa, but the fire has also lit a large part of the webs on fire! Also, half of the wall on the side leading to Pro's domain was completely covered in web. Pro doesn't want to know what will happen to him if he gets caught up in it.
Lighting chunks of toilet paper on fire, Pro tossed it at the web nearby. As he watched the webs spread and burn, Pro soon noticed a weird situation. The webs slowly covered the entire living room floor, but it left an empty area around the bathroom!
"Woah, must be something powerful or scary in there? Glad I didn't take a step in there," Pro muttered as he lit up a roll of toilet paper, took aim at the bathroom door, and threw it hard.
Pa! With a soft sound of collision, the burning roll of toilet paper knocked on the unlocked bathroom door and caused it to slowly creak open.
Click! Click! Click!
The clicking sounds from the bedroom suddenly intensified as if its owner was angered. Thud! The sound of something heavy dropping on the ground echoed from the bedroom. Then, Pro saw a giant, black monster with eight furry legs crawl towards the bedroom doorway. This spider's size was bigger than a lion, and the most disgusting part was that its eight eyes were replaced by eight human faces!
The faces glared over at Pro who was poking his head through the wall. They then moaned in agony as the spider tried to squeeze itself through the doorway of the bedroom.
"Well sh*t, I'm going to hate spiders from now on," Pro complained as he lit up his last roll of toilet paper and threw it at the spider's faces, "Roll out of here!"
Smack! The roll hit the faces on the spider before it dropped onto the ground. It seemed to have only angered the monster more as it used more effort to squeeze its fat body through the doorway.
Pro glanced at the rapidly spreading fire that the webs could not longer snuff out, "Well, I'm not going to play with you anymore. Have fun being cooked."
Pro then returned to his domain and waited calmly, "Do I need to call 911? I hope I don't burn the entire building by accident, but since the apartment room is enclosed, the fire should burn out sooner or later?"
After an hour, Pro carefully stuck his hand through the wall to check the situation, just to have it being burned.
"Ouch!" Pro exclaimed as he quickly pulled it back and went to the toilet to recover, "I guess it's still going. I'll check later?"
Not long later, Pro's hand fully recovered and he left the toilet, "I guess I'll just wait a bit longer? I'm surprised that the fire could even burn for an hour, after all, it should have ran out of oxygen by now. But this is a good thing as the longer it burns, the higher the chance that the spider monster ends up being completely cooked. I'm just not too quite sure of the other spirit-"
SCREEEEEEE!
A sudden loud screech broke caused Pro to snap into alert mode.
THUD! THUD! THUD!
[An invader is attempting to enter your domain. Will you allow or deny the entry?]
[Warning! The barrier to host's domain has been breached! It will cost 10 life points to repair the barrier. Consume life points to repair the barrier?]
[Warning! The barrier to host's domain has been breached! It will cost 20 life points to repair ...]
Pro then watched in horror as long, black hair pierced through the wall and broke into his domain, piercing the ground of the living room like sharp nails. More and more hair breached the barrier, with some being scorched while others being soaking wet.
[Warning! The barrier to host's domain has been breached! It will cost 50 life points to repair ...]
A soft moan that sent chill down Pro's spine echoed in the living room as a woman's pale arms, with cracks all over it along with a couple of scorch marks, passed through the wall. Grasping the wall with its hands, the invading spirit pulled itself through the wall, revealing a female corpse's upper body. Its head with drooping wet, black hair slowly looked up at Pro to reveal a female face full of cracks all over it, as if it was shattered vase glued back together.
Although the face was disfigured by the cracks all over it, after taking a closer look, Pro can't help but exclaim in fright as he found the face to be familiar!
"Holy sh*t! You're not dead yet?!"
