"Arise!" I said it a little too happily, not withholding my true happiness. This seemed to freak the class out a little as I was happy to see a corpse twitch. After only a moment, black miasma started to rise from the body and form the body of a young woman with black wings, black armor, and black-blue hair. Her eyes were completely blue, as well as her fingernails. She also had a sword sheathed on her waist.
"Finally, FINALLY!!!" I screamed in joy as everyone, once again, for like the 80th time today, gave me an odd look. I glance over and say, "What are you looking at. This is the best moment of my life! I am no longer less than my brother! HA, In your face Su-ho!" I say as I point toward the sky. The others in class followed after me, seeing how it worked. Meanwhile, I formed a proper contract with Beru. He could no longer get stronger under Jinwoo but could under Andrea as she could still grow while Jinwoo couldn't. It was also his job, so it was fine.
The angel was still kneeling when I finally realized. "Why are you still kneeling?" She responds with, "I need a name." Now, this stunned me. 'From what dad told me, only the strong soldiers get named. Lower ones can't actually be named. You can give them nicknames, but not names. This one requested a name, which means she passed the threshold. This means my fist summons was actually this strong.' I let out another gleeful squeal. Only for a moment, but enough to draw attention. "Your name shall be Glory. You shall work underneath Beru from here on out." The shadow soldier, now named Glory, bows and then goes into my shadow. Shizuku and Kouki were watching this and let out a "wow." At the same time, Kaori was slightly worried about my mental state, Ryu seemed to be distracted, and I was receiving a really harsh glare from Hiyama, which a bit of pressure from Beru quickly resolved.
We then continued chatting about our classes before going to the king's audience chamber, Beru back in my shadow. I also ordered Beru that if he finds any more angels, kill them and bring them to me immediately. While we talked with the king, a literal pile of bodies began to form where Beru would continuously insta-kill any angel in the nearby area. Apparently, this room had many. After about 20 dead angels were in a pile, the king finally had enough and asked, "What the hell is going on?!" I got ratted out by everybody other than my group when they all just looked at me with a deadpan expression. "What~?! They're too powerful not to get," I said while rolling my eyes. I then walked toward the pile, and a quick "Arise" later, I regretted everything and had to name 20 angels. Luckily the others helped me choose names; otherwise, I would've ended up resorting to the Greek alphabet.
The King just watched this dumbly unsure of what to think about a child, killing and raising angels to create an army. "Umm, anyways, we ask that all of you gain strength and assist us in our fight against the demons and help protect our lands," Aiko-sensei calls a class vote, and about four-fifths of the class agrees, so she accepts, and we are lead to our rooms. They aren't too great, but they are personal rooms, so that's at least something.
The next day, a maid woke each of us up and guided us to a dining hall where we all ate before being guided by some guards to the training fields. Standing in the center of the field is Meld wearing his armor with a greatsword slung across his back, underneath his cape. "Alright, everybody, line up, and we'll begin reviewing your training and skills. We'll start with some spars and then move onto creating your training regimens," he yells out to us. We line up with Shizuku and I standing near the front, along with Kouki and a few from Hiyama's group. We were the ones that were known to have some combat experience, so we were tested first.
First was Shizuku. We all got small boosts to our skills, but she was trained since young and was already no pushover. She quickly adapted to the spar and even made Meld try a little harder. After the spar ended, he began pointing out her very few flaws, mainly focusing on endurance and strength. She had built her style around her agility, but the style was always offense-oriented and, therefore, extremely stamina intensive.
Next was Kouki. He wasn't bad, but he was certainly worse compared to Meld and Shizuku. He mainly just had to work with skill and power exertion. He had a lot of raw power but couldn't control it, burning large amounts all at once. Next was Hiyama... he got his ass handed to him simply because he was egotistical. I mean, that was sad, like really sad. Finally, Meld determined that Hajime would be a support, at best. He had a crafting class, and his skills had the ability to make weapons that may not even be available back in our world.
Meld decided that he wanted me to be last. It made sense, even I'm not sure what my strength is, and if I hurt him or damaged something, the spars would have to stop. Finally, everyone finished and had their suggestions. Most had very long lists of suggestions. Only my own small clique didn't. "All right, next is Andrea. What weapon do you know the most about, if any?"
"My Dad trained me in short swords and my Mom in long swords, but I have some knowledge with great-swords and spears. I'm also really good at archery." Most of my classmates were surprised to hear how many weapons I could wield. I think most forget I also have summons that can give me even more variety.
"Alright, how about you use short swords for now. After evaluating your skills and classes more, we can look at archery and long swords." Nodding my head in understanding, I take up two short swords from the weapon rack. Both were slightly longer than a dagger, maybe sitting at around 1-1.5 feet in length. After getting a feel for their weight, I get into a ready stance and wait for Meld's signal. "Alright, begin!"
Greatswords normally require more strength, and their weight limits movement speed, so I use that to my advantage. One of the things that I'm most proud of inheriting is my dad's natural gift in short swords and my mom's overall athletic abilities.
It's the thing that makes her so scary. She may not be as strong as Dad, but she is far faster and way more flexible. I walked in on her trying yoga once... she literally had her head sticking out from between the backside of her legs. I was almost certain her spine would snap in half. When she started training my flexibility, I was actually able to do the same thing after about a year. It enhanced my sword skills, and she taught me her sword dance style, which I adapted for short swords with Dad's help.
I dashed towards Meld, stunning him with my speed. When he finally caught sight of me, he swung his greatsword, which I dodged underneath of, Matrix-style, and slashed at his hand while doing so. This had actually disarmed him and caused him to jump backward on instinct. "Alright, that should be enough. Andrea." I quickly came to a halt and placed the blades back into their sheaths.
"Honestly, I'm surprised. I know we haven't really gone over each of your classes, but I'm especially curious about yours. Did you happen to receive the Hero class?" Kouki visibly flinched, probably thinking that the power I showed was expected, even though he was the bearer of the class.
"No, I actually received my Dad's 'class.' Although it would be more accurate to call it title and powers, awakening my bloodline could also be accurate." He nodded his head, clearly processing the information. He then realized a significant note about my statement and turned toward the class. "If Andrea here wasn't the one that received the Hero class, who did?" The class all looked at Kouki as he's spouting about how cool it was at dinner last night. "I see. In that case, we're going to have to increase your training substantially."
Kouki seemed sad yet excited at the same time, which made me think something was wrong with his head, but I quickly shook it off. I then coughed and got Meld's attention. "Sir Meld, if you don't mind, I'll have Beru train me. He was my Dad's strongest member for quite a while before his main army returned, so I know he could help. He's also seen my Mom's and Dad's perfected styles and could help me find a way to merge them." Meld nodded in acceptance, and then, I noticed curiosity pass his eyes. "If you don't mind me asking, what are your stats? I can't help but be curious."
I actually wanted to know how I compared to Meld, so I didn't mind sharing them. I showed him my status plate, and he seemed shocked. "What's wrong?" I ask. I was very curious now. He then told me how they compared. "You are already level 7, and you also have some pretty extreme stats comparably. Mine are currently hovering in their 700's across the board at level 59, while you already have 400 in strength, defense, and vitality. The scary stats are your agility, magic, and magic defense. They all already exceed 1000 with your magic already hitting 2000. I honestly would have difficulty believing any demon could actually beat your magic." I was surprised to hear this comparison. The strongest soldier in this kingdom was slower than me and my magic was practically incomparable.
If I'm like this, my parents and brother would have to be comparable to gods, I guess that makes sense. Now I'm curious if Mom has any god title.
