The Ancient Language

A huge gray dragon landed behind Alduin who was crazed by madness and grief. All the people he loved, the villages, and everything else had turned into dust.

Chaos energy and magic were leaking from him like a flowing river. The surrounding area around him was getting torn apart as the pressure caused Aeron to wake up to the sight of the huge gray dragon, striking fear into him once more.

The moment he shouted those words, Alduin's mind became rational, his body was in his control. Paarthurnax, though seeing humans as inferior, did not like the thought of slaughtering the innocent.

The dragons called Paarthurnax 'The Old One' or 'The Wise One'.

Alduin looked behind and saw the huge grey dragon, glaring back straight at his eyes.

"Why have you come here Paarthurnax? Are you here to kill me too?" Alduin asked him while glaring into his eyes. He had lost all respect for the dragons following the recent tragedy.

He wanted nothing but to slaughter every last one of them when the dragons indiscriminately attacked him and his family

"Folaas... Incorrect, sil do dovah.. soul of a dragon. I have come here, to frey hi... aid you in killing Acnologia" Paarthurnaax replied in a deep and serene voice.

"Why? Why would you assist me in killing your kin? The Dragons." Alduin asked in confusion, what Paarthurnax had piqued his interest.

"The Dovah... Dragons have no self-control, they are like mindless Sunvaar...beasts only using their instincts. They have no respect for their own language. Zu'u Paak Ahrk Rahgot!!!" Paarthurnax was ashamed and angered with his fellow kin. They have fallen so low, and they even disregard their own languages.

"Ful... So, I have chosen you, Wah Krii Niin...to kill them. The one who pos sil do dovah.. who possesses the soul of a dragon. Zu'u Sahvot...I believe you can kill those Dovah" Paarthunax cleared the suspicion of Alduin...

Aeron who was watching this was shocked, he saw Paarthurnax and Alduin conversing, and heard of his plans. He too wanted to kill those dragons, so he tried to move from the rubble.

*crash* *crack* *groom*

Alduin, who heard that was put up on guard, so he immediately assumed his fighting position. Paarthurnax just moved towards the rubble.

[FUS]

He shouted the two words which make up unrelenting force, it causes items to be pushed back. The first word [FUS] means force and [RO] means balance, it also has a third word [DAH] meaning push, but if the dragon used all of the words. Aeron would fly together with the rubble and die.

"AERON! You-You are alive!!" Alduin was shocked by the revelation, Aeron who he thought dead was alive, at least he won't be lonely anymore. Aeron was like a brother to him.

"I-I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I heard your conversation and I also want the POWER!! So that I can avenge my hometown and all the people." Aeron spoke in a determined voice, he wanted to be stronger.

"Rinik Pruzah...Very well. I shall aak ney...guide both of you." Paarthurnax agreed, the voice could be learned if one had enough talent and practice. Well not that he would teach others or the MC would teach others anyways.

"Promise me, you shall not teach other Jul Uv Dovah....humans or dragons these words unless you find them worthy" Both of them nodded, the ancient dovah language could potentially turn the tables in the humans and dragons war.

[VAAT SIL GRON] (oath soul bond)

This word binds a contract with their souls, it cannot be shaken or torn, but Alduin is an exception. These worldly laws don't really affect him since he is a soul born from The Overvoid. The origin of The Author, such small contracts and bounds possibly couldn't hold him.

"Well, the required things are done, let us head to my strunmah...my mountain." Both of the boys nodded. When they were closing in on the dragon hoping to ride it. The dragon suddenly shouted

[KREH GOLT BO] (bend place arrive)

It caused the space to warp and suddenly arrive in the desired location. It only works if the user has a good image of the place in his mind, or using this shout can be very dangerous.

"I'm gonna hurl" Both Alduin and Aeron went to the cliff of the mountain to clear their insides. This is clearly their first time, so their stomach couldn't handle the spatial transportation. After a while, they returned to the cave which was situated in a mountain.

"You..shall..start..your..learning..fin..ruz..sul. The next day. Take rest today" with that the dragon went off to meditate.

"How-How did you survive when Acnologia breathed fire at you?! I clearly saw you being burnt?! Your corpse roasted?!! This doesn't make sense!! What are you hiding from me Alduin?!" Aeron asked him in confusion, panic, shock, astonishment.

"Whoa-Whoa, calm down Aeron. I don't know how but after Acnologia went. My body started to regenerate and my body started healing rapidly, but I will KILL Acnologia and all the dragons siding with him!!" Alduin said with full of hatred and rage. He wanted to rip his scales out, plunge out his heart and gouge out his eyes.

Little did he know, he'd actually absorb his very essence of existence.

----Next Day-----

"Get up pupils...today..your..lesson..about..dovah tinvaak..dragon..language..begins" Paarthunax woke them up at 4o'clock.

Both of them woke up groggily, a yawn escaped from their mouths. They looked around their surroundings and realized their village had been massacred and a dragon named Paarthurnax had taken them in to train.

Inside Alduin a part of him still hoped that the massacre was a dream and he'd wake up, but it did not happen. Both Alduin and Aeron got up and started to wash their faces. They saw the dragon up there in meditation, in what looked like a wall with ancient ruins.

"Kul..good. It seems both of you are ready for your training. Alduin and Aeron" Paarthurnax spoke while slowly opening his eyes and looked at them.

"No- From this day onwards, I am no longer Aeron. I AM ACNOLOGIA!" Aeron spoke with rage and determination in his eyes. His eyes were burning with rage and to kill the Acnologia who massacred his village.

"Drun..Why..do..you..want..that??" Both Paarthurnax and Alduin spoke in confusion.

"I will slaughter every dragon and make fear etch into their very being with the name of the Dragon I most despise" Aeron, NO Acnologia spoke with a certain resolution. His body released a lot of pressure.

"Very well..from..today..thy..nameth..is..Acnologia '' Paarthurnax spoke and the very mountain shook. It seemed he approved his decision and Alduin also grinned at this.

This is going to be a long year and a hectic journey.

Paarthurnax shouted some words and the wall's cave was filled with ancient runic words.

Alduin when he saw those words, a part of his memory unlocked. A sudden headache attacked him, he fell to the ground while clasping his temple.

Alduin felt a strange connection to the ancient language on the wall, it's like he found something which had been long lost from him. He slowly recited the words in the wall which shocked Paarthurnax and Acnologia.

He who had never been exposed to the language started to recite and speak it like he had found something which had belonged to him.

"What? What happened? How- How can I recite it?" Alduin was also confused, he never thought that he would find someone with such affinity and talent for Dragon Language. He knew Alduin had something in him, but he never thought he would read it so easily.

Acnologia also tried understanding it, but he couldn't. He couldn't even figure out the draconic words. He was shocked when Alduin read it but Paarthunax laughed which proved that all he read was correct. But how?

Paarthurnax spoke, "It..depends..on..ones..talent. Sometimes..Orin Dovah..even dragons..would..have..a..hard..time..using..shouts." it shocked Acnologia, he thought it was just a language and he would master it in no time, although he was physically weak he was mentally intelligent.

"Enook Rot..every..words..have..deep..and..profound..meaning..in..Dovah Tiinvak..dragons..language..that..mortals..take..their..entire..lives..to..comprehend.." Paarthurnax again dropped the bomb on Acnologia. It just meant he had less talent for such words, but Alduin was also an anomaly, he who has received the gifts and blessings of the 9 divines would of course have it easy. After all he was a Dovahkiin!

[YOL TOOR SHUL] (fire, inferno, sun)

Paarthurnax shouted the word into the wall he was standing on. The word started to glow and the aura around it surrounded Alduin. The aura got absorbed by him, and Alduin's brain started to feel the information.

The dragon language was truly profound, even words held an incomprehensible meaning for the mortals, they could never even imagine. No wonder humans say dragons are the supreme species. Even their language is so profound.

Paarthurnax was once again shocked, he never thought Alduin could comprehend the word by just looking at the draconic texts.

"M-Maska!! How..even..the..dragons..need..some..days..or..weeks..to..comprehend..the..words!!" Paarthurnax although tried to maintain a calm voice it was obvious that he was shocked. Never in millennia did he thought such a human would exist.

Acnologia who also saw this now became more let down after the Monte Secreta massacre Alduin seems to keep growing stronger while he is there not even knowing the basic alphabets.

"Do..not..despair..Acnologia..it..is..normal..for..humans..to..not..understand..the..language. Alduin..is..just..an..anomaly" Paarthurnax told, which was 100% true.

"Today..Acnologia..will..try..to..comprehend..Dovah..Tiinva..dragon..language..and..Alduin..will..

comprehend..the..words..I..shall..give. No rests" Paarthurnax spoke, both Alduin and Acnologia were shocked when he said, No Rests.

In the town they had a lot of free time, but after it got destroyed. They almost drowned in despair. Well, their lifestyle will change for the better, hopefully. Both of them lost the same thing which was precious to them the most. Their town, their family. Hopefully, they don't lose their sanity.

I hope I did well with how Aeron became Acnologia. If there were some problems please do comment. Helps me a lot since this is my 2nd fanfic. Idk how I got the motivation but I really wanted to create where MC and Acnologia were like bros.
