'She's back!' he suddenly thought and could barely contain his happiness. The crazy, enticing woman was back and he was not going mad. His obsession for the past month finally had an answer and he didn't really know what to do with the feelings he was experiencing right now.
Li Naihe was shocked by his reaction when he finally got confirmation that she was back. He most certainly did not get happy at the sight of a woman, but this one was different.
She just felt right, and he was certain this was Raven. 'That's my Raven' he suddenly thought, giving her a mental pat on the back, feeling proud for how she totally terrified those men.
As soon as he caught his thought he instantly froze 'not my Raven, not my anything'. Where did those thoughts come from anyway? Since when was he paying any attention to women.
'I really need a reality check'. Li Naihe snorted at that thought 'what reality?! This was pure madness'.
Seeing her now right behind him from the reflexion in the mirror, he stood up to make room for her to get to her chair. She did not react in anyway. He was expecting her to be surprised by his gesture, but she wasn't. 'I guess she expects this kind of behaviour' he thought, somewhat pleased by this. 'Damn it! This needs to stop!' he chided himself realising his thoughts were getting away from him again, in a direction he didn't want to even consider for a second. He was not interested in the women around him, so why was she different? More to the point, who was she?
This was a question that plagued his mind from the moment he met her on that really strange day more than a month ago.
She had given him a name that did not exist. She completely ignored him, yelled at him and then disappeared without a trace. Li Naihe spent many nights thinking about her and when this reality was too much to handle even for him, he took it a bit further, creating various scenarios of her in his mind.
He was human after all, and had needs and wants. No matter how much he tried to clamp down on those needs mentally, his body betrayed him every time. The mere thought of her excited him and in those moments, he was quite happy to forget he thought she was a mirage and he was losing his mind.
Invoking those images, with the woman now within a breath of him made his body react. She slightly brushed against him as she was making her way to her chair and he instantly stiffened.
He did not expect to have such a strong reaction to such an innocent, barely there touch. Knowing it was her, the woman he obsessed over, was getting the better of him.
Li Naihe knew in that moment two things. One, he was doomed, he probably had fallen for this woman and highly likely she would be the death of him. Two, he needed to get away from her and put some distance between them, before his desires and his neanderthal brain got the better of him.
In a flash it was decided. Damn the meeting, he's leaving. He couldn't leave her behind, and he most certainly did not want to, but maybe some movement and fresh air would calm his raging emotions.
While all of this was happening and the willpower war was raging in his mind, he did not even realise the party they were supposed to meet did not turn up on time.
Still lost in thoughts about how to distance himself from her until he could get his bearings, the woman spoke.
"President Li" his name on her lips sounded divine. He knew he was being ridiculous, because his assistant Liehen had called him that multiple times for the past month, but this was different. It felt different.
Seeing he wasn't saying anything she continued "I believe it's time to leave."
Her tone was so commanding and left no room for argument. She was also pointing at her watch on her delicate wrist which became very enticing to him. He wanted to hold those delicate porcelain hands in his. He wanted her to touch him and think of him the way he was thinking of her right now. 'I really need to get out of here' he suddenly realised when he felt the rush to grab her hand and pull her into his chest for a tight embrace. 'This is madness!' he scolded himself yet again, trying to regain his composure.
Realising she was pointing at her watch, now showing five minutes past the time they were meant to start the meeting, his mind cleared instantly. There was no lust and no more silly thoughts. He was now angry. He would not let this go.
Sensing his change in mood, Raven realised he might not have known what time it was whilst waiting for her to come back, and she was a bit upset with herself for allowing this to happen. She had no intention to humiliate this man, he had done nothing to her.
She pointed towards the exit beckoning him to lead the way with her eyes. For a split-second Li Naihe considered letting her walk first, but he soon remembered why he had gotten so angry a second ago and marched straight out of the restaurant.
Just as they were walking out, he heard two men talking at the door, and his eyes suddenly darkened. They were making comments about Raven's appearance, not even bothering to lower their voices. The comments were not malicious, but they were bordering on leud.
He was slowly starting to lose his temper and say something, when he realised she had turned around, talking a step straight towards the two men who were talking about her.
Before he even had time to realise what was going on he heard her say "Why don't you take a picture, it would last longer…" the tone of her voice slightly amused.
'Was she enjoying the attention? Surely not', he thought, 'she's not that kind of woman.' At least in his eyes she didn't seem like someone who would be into getting unwanted attention.
He really didn't know what to do here, he wanted to intervene, but in the same time, it was not his place. If they did anything to her, of course, as her employer he'd intervene, but otherwise, he had no right to.
'Why was she talking to them?' he frowned trying to figure out this mysterious vixen that just took over his world with just one encounter.
