Dev's Mom

Samaira was still crying. Shiva was trying to stop her from crying. Harbajan took out candy from his pocket and gave it to her. Samaira took the candies in her little hands. She wiped her tears with her little fingers. Harbajan checked Samaira's bag and took out one envelope.

"Where are your parents?"

Shiva asked.

"My parents are in little stars."

She said in a sad voice pointing towards the sky.

Her eyes were filled with tears. She was missing her parents. Shiva was feeling bad for her. Then suddenly a voice came from Shiva's back

"Sam, don't say like that."

Shiva looked in the direction of the voice and got shocked. An old lady was standing. She was wearing a light blue color saree. Though she was old her face was still glowing like a young girl's. she was worried. Her eyes were filled with tears. Samaira ran to the old lady. The old lady hugged that girl.

"My child, where were you? Do you know how much I was worried for you?"

The old lady asked Samaira.

Shiva was still shocked. He stood and looked at that lady carefully.

"Thank you for taking care of my granddaughter."

She said to Shiva with a broad smile on her face.

"You… you're Dev's mother."

He asked the lady

The lady looked at him with shock as she heard his voice.

"Who are you?"

She asked

"Aunt, I am Shiva. Dev's friend."

He told

"Sorry, you're mistaken."

She said with teary eyes.

"No. I didn't. Tears in your eyes are telling me. that you're his mom. Then tell me why your eyes again filled with tears when I took his name."

Shiva asked

"Something had fallen in my eyes. I don't know any person whose name is Dev."

She said.

"Aunty please don't act like this. What wrong deed had he committed that you have disowned him?"

He said requesting the old lady.

"My dear, some things are done to secure our dear one's future. No mother disowns his son for small reason."

The old lady said in a pitiful voice.

She held Samaria's hand and left that place.

Shiva was standing still. Harbajan chased the lady a little far. They had a little chat. Dev's mother gave an envelope to him and he returned.

"Sir are you okay?"

He asked Shiva

"Do you know them?"

Shiva asked him

"Yes, sir I know everything. But it's not the right time for you to know everything."

Harbajan replied

"When will the right time come?"

He asked him angrily.

"Sir whenever the right time will come. The victim will tell you everything."

Harbajan told him.

"But how, she's not in a state to tell her past. She doesn't know what happened yesterday. How will she tell me her past year?"'

Shiva told him furiously.

"Sir things which are seen by eyes might not be true. Sometimes we should listen to our heart."

Harbajan said sitting in the jeep.

"Huh, what do you mean by this?"

He questioned.

"Sir let's go. Everyone is waiting for us."

Saying this Harbajan starts the jeep.
