Chapter Thirty-Seven - Diary Entry #11

September 24, 1822

I awoke in the midst of the night, thirsty, I rang for Marnie. I waited a bit for her to come, but she did not. I rang the bell again. No Marnie.

Something was arie.

I hesitantly got out of bed. I opened the door, and made my way down the hall, to Marnie's bed-chamber.

As I approached her door, I heard moans of what sounded like pain.

I went to knock on the door, it must've been open already because it became slightly ajar. Through the crack in the door I could see inside Marnie’s chamber. That's when I witnessed the most horrific of acts.

Cecile was in Marnie’s chamber. He was one of them. He was drinking her blood. I stepped back in horror. I ran back to my room, and didn't leave again that night.
