Chapter 3
"What are these for?" an irritable welcome by Astle to Hid, who just recently arrived.
She's currently in the living room while watching some anime when Hid suddenly shows up and throw a white envelope at her, it is the same as the other one given to her yesterday.
“Is this a new surprise for my new identity?”
“Just read it.” And then turned his back on her.
She nodded and open up the white envelope. Hid returns carrying a pitcher of juice. He put down a glass of it in the table and fills up the cup he’s holding.
“It’s the blueprint of Immensus Academy , Administrators, teachers and important students profile and even the important information you must know about the academy, there’s also pictures in there, study it well and master it.”
“Why?”
“Because you will be studying there.”
“So what?”
He lowered the glass he was holding on the table and whilst seated on the sofa just in front of Astle.
"Its an art and science boarding school. I let you see those information to familiarize every single corner of the academy for your safety. Your mission will begin as you enter to that academy Astle so you must be careful." He reminded her.
“According to the Intel of White HQ, the academy is one of the many facility of Black Organization and for reason, whichever aspect I look at, the academy also had a big role to play in my daughter’s death.”
Astle frowned.
"Yes thats what you told me yesterday, I understand." She said indisposed.
Hid ignored what Astle said.
“Because Immensus Academy is where my daughter studied. She was one of the lucky students to be included in the Special Section but that’s what we think, it is suicide if you get in to that special section.”
“Special Section?” It caught her Astle's attention. Special Section feels so familiar to her. Where did she hear it again?
“Yes, I want you to get in there to expose whatever the Special Section is hiding and how the Academy was included in the Black Organization.”
Astle's forehead furrowed even more. It looks like he really wants her to die and as time went on the conditions became more and more severe which he wanted her to do.
“Are you really serious that I will just need to investigate Immensus Academy for you to patch up its connection to the death of your child? Or you really want me to die early? You’re the one who say it, it is suicide to belong to Special Section then why do you want me to be in there?”
Astle was holding herself back not to smack the one in front of her. Maybe he’s not thinking well anymore even though he’s still a police officer. He is becoming too blinded to discover the truth about his daughter’s death that’s why he’s ordering her whatever things to do. And how can she be with her brother, when her life is on the brink of death?
Astle just wants to withdraw the agreement because of how complicated Hid wants to happen. She can’t just trade her life like that when there are still things she needs to do and search for.
“Look Hid, I don’t think I can do those things anymore. Black Organization is a huge enemy, rich and influential. You’re the one who said it, no one can go against them. They’re untouchable yet you want me to go there, in their very den for what? Be devoured? Are you serious?”
Hid sighed. He took the glass from the table where he had poured the juice earlier and gulped it down. Then he shoved the glass back on the table.
“It’s not just about the mission Astle, your twin Ashtle is in that section.”
Everything around Astle stopped spontaneously when she heard the name of her twin. How did he get to that section? What the hell is happening? How he ended up at Immensus Academy?
She quickly took the contents of the envelope that Hid had thrown at her. She scans every information of the academy, but stopped by the fall of a photograph. She halted what she was doing and picked up the photo.
It is taken outside of the building with an I-E posted at the top of the gate. There are towering trees around it, it seems to have been intended to look like that so as not to immediately notice the large building in the middle of it.
What caught her attention even more was the person walking out of that building.
No words came out of her mouth. She just tighten her fist and sharply returned her gaze to the man who is not even smiling but the joy can be seen to its eyes. It’s glistening and traces of excitement can be seen to what things might happen.
“You didn’t Photoshop this, do you?”
Hid raised an eyebrow at her.
"You think I would waste my time to that?"
He stood up and put his hands inside his pockets.
"I'm giving you what I promise so do yours." he left in front of Astle.
Hid went up to his room, Astle couldn’t help it but watch him.
She turned her gaze back to the photograph she was holding. She can’t be wrong because the man coming out of this gate is her twin. He was wearing a white laboratory Uniform, and in good condition, he also smiles without showing any fear or longing. Is this really her twin brother? Why something does seems different?
"What have they done to you Ash?"
Her grip on the photograph tightens even more until it was completely torn. Her hands trembled with anger. She couldn’t understand herself why she was feeling so scared right now.
Did the organization do anything to her twin? Did they also do the same torture that was done to her before? If so then she has to see him as soon as posssible. She has to take her brother out there.
Many questions was added that bothered her more now.
And she had no choice but to enter the academy. To do what Hid wants and to answer her questions about her brother's true condition.
She took heavy steps to climb the stairs up to her room. When she entered, she immediately looked in the mirror, and stared at herself. She trying to control the changes in her eyes, at the same time she can feel the changes in her body.
Her vision penetrates and sees the blurry entirety of the room next to hers. She also felt the trembling of her muscles as if something wanted to explode inside her.
“What Am I?” she ask to her own reflection.
She held herself and touched the side of her eyes.
"Am I still a human?"
