-“No she will probably act nonchalantly like a wild beast causing us all big losses, we can’t risk it .”

Suddenly the door opened to Anna and Eric, leaving everyone inside the room dumbfounded.

-“What risk can’t you take exactly? Sergeant Luke “

-“Nothing, I mean it’s just that we have to fire one of our soldiers but we…”

-“Quit it, I know you were talking about me. Now tell me what is it. I promise to be on my best behavior and not act nonchalantly like the beast that I am.” She said with a smirk while crossing her fingers in front of her interlocutor. Eric was chuckling from behind at the faces of the sergeants, he enjoyed it whenever Anna would put those men right back into their seats and let them know their place. After all she was the girl of the prophecy, they could nothing against her.

-“Why is it when there is noise in this department it’s always you two?” Spoke someone from behind. All the sergeants got up from their seats and bowed in respect to the figure that entered from the door, except Anna and Eric who were just frustrated that there question was still unanswered.

-“I don’t know, why you don’t ask this brat, look I’m fed up with your lies and if you don’t spell it right here and now…” Eric put both his hands on his beloved’s shoulders. Feeling his warmth Anna instantly calmed down, she was almost sure that it was one of his magic tricks not once questioning her feelings. She then walked towards the reunion table, putting both her fists on it she continued while articulating every word slowly:

-“Listen here, this is not a request , it’s an order , so answer me already or I promise your days will be counted.”

While the atmosphere in the room was getting all stuffy and tense, sensing the hostile aura Anna was eradiating; the man who entered earlier walked fearlessly towards his designated seat at the head of the table and calmly spoke:

-“I know you hate me enough already miss Anna, but these are my orders. They will not let you on that information, not now anyway.” Luke smirked making Anna even more furious. Eric, who has seen enough, finally spoke:

-“And why is that? If it clearly concerns her safety.”

The mysterious man ignored Eric’s remark and addressed Anna:

-“Do you remember when you first came here Miss Anna? All wet from the rain and shivering to death. We took you in, we made you who you are today without ever asking for anything in return. It was your idea to become one of our agents.”

He then took out a recorder from one of his pockets and played it.

-“I want to serve justice to the world. I want to make things right even if my life is the price!” That was her own voice playing. ”So you see, your safety is not a priority here, and this discussion is over. Now back to the real reason behind this reunion. We got from our sources that one of our main cover centers is in danger. We will send you both the needed info and gadgets later today. You are dismissed.”

Eric looked at Anna who was thinking about the events that just occurred, (what and who would possibly want to harm her? It can’t be someone normal, someone has seen through her social cover? But how? What do they want anyway) .Both their minds were about to explode from all those unanswered questions.
