Chapter 04

Chapter 04: Trouble-Seeker Part 02

*Abi's POV*

The weather's nice today, I might win the round that I've lost before, hmm. Class is clear, no signs of Keiysy or Meri, I can finally taste what's winning feels like. She was always like that, always messing me up when I was playing games.

Either the games that I had on my computer or my phone, the same thing she did earlier this morning. But the most annoying thing about her is that during last summer's vacation, our family with mom and dad went to the beach. At that time, I was about to arrange my stuff in the hotel room and then went to look for food around there.

Keiysy said she was gonna borrow my hairdryer, so I let her into my room. But, dang, when I come back she was holding my headset behind her, with an apologetic face she told me that she accidentally dropped it and it broke. Yes, she ended up spending all her summer savings on replacing my broken headset.

Her hands are the specialist when it comes to breaking things every time they touch them. However, I don't know why I couldn't get angry at her for too long. Especially when she's being spoiled, her eyes seem to get bigger and her smile will look very cute.

The moment you look at her face, you know that in the end, you'll get into a never-ending cuddle with her. I swear to God if she's not my twins, I would have dated her the moment I knew her. It's just everything about her is cute, which boy doesn't fall in love with her.

Therefore, I, as her twin, will keep her away from irresponsible and suspicious men. Well, at least someone from a family who is like Alin or Daffin will be worth it, why? Because nothing is free in this world, that's why you got to have lots of money to be happy, especially for girls.

At least that's what I believed. I reached out my phone on the jacket that I lingered on my waist, it's not too cold today, so I decided to just tie it around my hips.

Jaya a friend of mine, suddenly barged into my class as he began to informed rapidly, "Hey, Ez. Wanna check out the canteen? I heard your twins got into a fight with Ayu."

"Nah, just let her be. I don't want to involve when she got into a riot anymore, after all, her opponent is Ayu. I'm lazy when it comes to dealing with her, even just hearing his name I'm sick of it, never mind them."

His face changed, he looks worried, "Are you sure you don't want to check her for a while?"

That's when Daffin's younger brother, Fino Chakra Ismawan, emerged from the halls, yelling at me, "Yo, Keiysy's bleeding. Go help her, Ez."

"She what? How?"

I ran to the hallways only to see a big crowd, with some teachers carrying out a girl in bridal style. Hurriedly taking her to the gate, the ambulance siren sounded shortly after. At the end of the corridors, I saw Meri with her skirt mostly covered in blood.

I gently shook Meri's body who was still silent and asked, "Is that? My...twin? Keiysy...WHERE IS SHE?"

Her gaze was fixed on the ground, not dare to look directly at me. "I'm sorry, Bi. I got panicked, I...I don't know what to do."

I saw Ayu's unconscious body being carried by some of our class students. Why the heck she passed out? Not wanting to wait any longer, I grabbed my backpack and the books in my locker, rushing to the ambulance at the parking lot. I called out to Mrs. Shaz who helped lift Keiysy onto the stretcher, "Wait, I want to come."

One of the ambulance people said, "I apologize in advance, but only the family or guardian is allowed to follow the patient in the ambulance."

I was just about to answer, but it turned out that Mrs. Shaz had already answered. "It's okay, sir. He's her twins, oh and Ez. I've called your parents, and they're on their way to the hospital."

"Thanks."

She replied, offering her hand to help me enter the ambulance, "No problem, now hurry."

Blood keeps dripping from the back of her head, she's still awake but very weak, her eyes also began to close. Most of his hair had stiffened from the blood gushing out, I could hear her faint complaint, "You look ugly with that jacket, haha."

"Are you okay?"

Her faint smile on her pale face is clearly visible under the very bright lights shining on us all, "So nice of you."

"What do you mean?"

Keiysy answered, "You never worried about me, but now", She looked at the car's ceiling, "Look at you, your face is pale, dude."

I let out a small laugh, "Well, you should look at yourself first."

She closed her eyes, her breath getting slower and heavier. She did the same thing over and over, I couldn't stop my tears from hiding anymore as they race down my cheeks. She called once again, letting out a heavy sigh, "Hmm, Bi."

Keiysy opened her eyes, examining my face with her soft smile, caring for my hand which didn't want to let go, "I'm sorry, I've been terrible to you, I yelled at you so many times. Don't play games too much, and I'm sorry for your headset back then. I'm sorry... for everything, thank you for being the best twins I've ever had. Sorry, I have to leave you first, well this is exhausting isn't it."

Before she could say another word, I quickly interrupted, "Why do you keep apologizing? Well, you're not that bad, and you're not going anywhere. Do you hear me?"

Her right hand raised to wipe the tears that fell on my face, the car suddenly stopped and the ambulance attendant said that we had arrived. Mom and Dad were already in front of the emergency room entrance, when they saw us they screamed hysterically. Mom, who couldn't believe what is happening in front of his eyes right now saw her daughter unconscious with blood everywhere, fell, and fainted.

Dad immediately welcomed me and mommy into his arms, his clothes were wet from the tears that kept flowing from my eyes. Mom was awake, crying louder when she thought of her youngest daughter. Dad then calmed us both down, saying

"She's going to be fine, she'll be okay. She's my girl, she's my strong little princess. Hushh, now don't be worried. Let's hope for the best and wait for the results. The best doctors are taking care of her right now, there's no need to be scared."

Wendy just arrived, she gasped. My vision was a little blurry because of my sobs, but I can see that her hands were shaking whilst covering her mouth in disbelief. She screamed as the cold floor touched her knees, "NOOOOO, KEIYSY...NOOOOO. WHY, NO...PLEASE, NO."

Seconds passed, and 2 and a half hours had passed but the door to the Keiysy's operating room had not yet opened. Mrs. Shaz said that based on what the children saw during the incident at the cafeteria, they said that Ayu started the fight. When everyone thought that the fight between the three was over, Ayu threw herself into a rage and spilled everything on Keiysy and Meri's table when they are enjoying their food.

Ayu's anger was getting more and more blind, she pulled my twin's collar and threw it until the back of her head hits the corner of the wall real hard, which makes her head bleed out until now. Mrs. Shaz also stated that thankfully there's a CCTV in there, so we could watch the footage together to see whether it's true or false. Mom and Dad decide to involve the police and plan to take this case to court, apparently, Dad knows Ayu's father.

He said that he used to be one of his clients back in the days, when he got promoted he became so busy that he couldn't watch her daughter's behavior anymore. The adults were busy discussing how to solve this case and how to sue them, while I and Wendy were sitting on a typical hospital bench, hoping that Keiysy would get out safely.

The operating room containing my siblings finally opened revealing several tired-looking doctors that were struggling to cure her in the past couple of hours, then explained, "Your child has successfully undergone surgery, for now, her condition is stable than before. Her brain was bleeding in the Cerebellum, or what we usually call the back of the brain. Thankfully, it won't cause any permanent damage but he will find it difficult to coordinate and control movements, maintain balance, and maintain his posture." He paused, before continuing, "And for the time being, for the next 4 to 5 weeks or so she has to stay here to examine her to make sure she has no concussion and clogged arteries. There is no definite theory that says the brain recovery time after head surgery. To be able to determine this, it is necessary to know the history of the disease and the current physical condition of your child. Sometimes the age of a person who has undergone surgery himself can also be affected because the older the person, the slower the healing power of a person, but because the patient's age is still young, the possibility of recovery is greater. Therefore, we will continue to monitor her and let you know if there are developments. That's all information from us, so good afternoon."

We thanked the doctors earlier, and then came out Keiysy with a bandage around her head, lying on the bed brought by several nurses. They pushed her back to room number 107 and set up her IV so he could get nutrition while she was asleep. Wendy took Mrs. Shaz goes back to school, while Dad takes care of the administrations and other needs for the examination. Leaving me and my mom accompanying Keiysy, as we hold her cold hand we tears came back racing again on both of our cheeks.
