Summer Boo!

The days leading up to the beach trip felt like they were speeding by. Every moment at school became an opportunity to finalize our plans, and every conversation eventually circled back to what we’d do at the beach. Arga’s enthusiasm was contagious, even when his ideas were a little too wild for the rest of us to take seriously. But that was Arga—always pushing boundaries, always making us laugh.

When the day finally came, my excitement was at its peak. Wendy had agreed to drive us, and we’d all managed to get permission from our parents, so nothing was standing in our way. The moment we all crammed into Wendy’s car, the energy inside was electric. Arga had his portable speaker ready, and it didn’t take long for the first song to blast through the car. The idea of a carpool karaoke session had been his, of course, and none of us had the heart—or maybe the courage—to say no.
