Awkwardness

Evy was lying on her bed, and music was blasting in her ears when her mom entered her room.

“Hey, sweetie,” she said with love.

“Hey, mom” Evy sat up and removed the earplugs from her ears.

“Well, I wanted to inform you that, Stephaney has invited us for dinner, so we have to go to theirs.”

“Stephaney, as in Edward’s mother?” She asked her, dumbfounded.

“Yes, Eddy’s mother. So be ready by 7, okay?” She confirmed.

“Uh, oh yeah, okay.”

Unbelievable. Now she is stuck with that moron. Weird, right after her mom calls Eddy with his pet name, but she prefers to use his full name now after

what happened a year ago.

Anyway, she cannot bail on this dinner as it will be rude to do it. So, let’s just get over with it.
