MEMORY: The Song of Summer (Part 3)

“And do you know why schools used to have a cemetery in their backyard?” Amber asked in a low, suspenseful voice. It was effective though, seeing how my friends squirm in their seats.

I remember my school in first grade had one and I thought it could be due to lack of space, as many lands had been turned to cemeteries because of the war back then. Amber’s theory, however, was that it was cheaper for the founders to purchase such ‘land’ to build their schools on as no other entrepreneurs would want it for their businesses.

“And now they wonder why supernatural things happen inside the campuses.” She shrugged.
