Set in a Philippine high school in the early 2000s, the story is voiced by the introverted, socially awkward, and mystery-loving Irene Sebastian. The story starts on her first day in high school and looking back, she had no idea she would be meeting a girl who was going to change her world unexpectedly.

Day by day, Irene was finding herself getting drawn to her classmate, Yana. Slowly, consumingly, where would these feelings take her?

From solving mysteries to beating bad guys, from making friends to falling in love, Irene had no choice but to face her fears. She was discovering new things the only way she knew how. Especially now that a girl had captured her heart.

The Way I Remember You

We were at the lake when Kira shouted: “I caught a big one!” It was a scary-looking fish with drooping eyelids and thick scales, it looked like a Pokémon. 


“Let’s eat it!” Tessa shouted back, but I told her, “We have to cook it first” although I didn’t know how. Yana was nowhere in sight and when I found her, she was at the table eating buko pie. It seems we were back at the lodge then. 


“Rin, eat some,” she said to me, and I noticed crumbs had fallen to the table. She didn’t even have a plate. I came toward her and she fed me a slice. I sank my teeth in the soft filling, having a mouthful of the pastry when Yana kissed me and ate from my mouth. I only got conscious when I saw Tessa and the caretakers staring at us with blank expressions, and instead of apologizing for making out with Yana, I asked where Kira was instead.
