"Hey are you crying?"

Meixiu looked at the entrance to her office when he heard someone is trying to communicate to her. "What is he doing here?", Meixiu thought the moment she sees Liwei trying to make an entrance. She is thinking if Ruomei knows her fiance's here.

"Senior, did Ruomei tell you to go here?", Meixiu bowed her head seeing her senior Zuo Liwei in front of her.

"Well she told me you're reporting back to business so I was a bit worried.", as Meixiu looked at him, she can see his concern in his eyes.

"I'm feeling a lot better. Being dumped at home will make me even more ill."

"I just got off from work and I thought of visiting you here."

"You and you fiancee already visited me last night.", she smiled.

"I never thought I would see you again. A lot of things changed but you are still the Meixiu I knew from high school."

"Is that a compliment senior?", Liwei scratched the back of his head.

"You are still scared of losing and somehow, selfless. How I wish you'll end up thinking about yourself too."

"That doesn't sound like a compliment Senior."

Liwei's laugh coated the room with a comfortable feeling. The sweetest smile that just slipped away from his lips lightened Meixiu's mood. It somehow served as her sunshine, especially whenever the thought of Suyin coming back in this country consumes her. Indeed, Liwei has the ability to make her smile. Who could resist this type of man who is always gentle, kind and sweet?

"You look stressed and fatigued. I wonder if your celebrity husband knows how to take care of you.", his tone suddenly sounded serious.

"He does take care of me but not as much as he takes care of his own welfare. That makes sense right?"

"You need to work as one now. Besides, he's older than you. He should feel some responsibility towards you.", he handed her a bag with the soup he prepared for her.

"Thank you senior. About Chaoxiang, he is a grown up man now so he can do whatever he wants."

"Whatever he wants? Does that include flirting with his ex on a national TV, with you, his wife as his viewer?"

"Hey Senior Zuo don't think about that. He is just doing his job. Isn't it nice to see exes with professionalism?"

Meixiu is feeling her heart is being torn into pieces. "I never thought I would defend Chaoxiang and hold my feelings like this.", she thought. Justifying someone else's dishonestly and disloyalty to their partner is like committing a crime. Even if you married someone you don't love, it will never be a reason to go back to your ex and flirt with her in front of all the viewers of the show.

"It's not even professionalism Meixiu. Are you really prepared for this marriage? Fight for your rights as his wife."

"He didn't do anything than talking to his ex on a national television right? So there's no point."

"Are you waiting for him to come back with her?"

"That's impossible Senior Zuo. It'll be so absurd. I don't think Chaoxiang will do that. Thank you for the soup.", she said and bowed down.

"Maybe I was too concerned about you that's why I'm over thinking.", Liwei sighed.

Meixiu looked at him and his hands are inside the pocket of his trench coat. He is wearing a black turtleneck and a black pants. His coat is a checkered brown, black and red. "He even looked a lot younger. What sorcery is this Senior?", Meixiu thought.

"I'll be going. Remember you can call me or Ruomei if you need a breath of fresh air with your husband.", he bowed down and Meixiu did the same.

"Thanks for the visit Senior Zuo. Best wishes for the upcoming wedding.", she said and went with him outside her office.

"You know I don't want this marriage at all right?", Liwei confessed.

Meixiu lowered her head but she managed to tap his back while they are heading the elevator. Like her, Liwei is just forced to marry Ruomei. The Zhaos, Ruomei and Chaoxiang's parents helped him get his medical license in exchange for his approval in marrying their daughter.

Liwei was trying to read Meixiu's mind for her silence made things awkward between the two of them. Her silence made Liwei think he has to stop with this conversation. "Anyway I never confessed so Meixiu is not to blame about her not knowing my feelings for her.", he thought.

The guy waved her his goodbye as he take the lift. "Senior Liwei, trying hard to show his concern. How is she treating Ruomei? I really wonder.", she said and went back to her office.
