GUILT

"Let's see Meixiu. Do you really think I will go easy on you?"

Suyin stopped her car after driving away for twenty minutes from the place where she left Meixiu. She grabbed her phone and immediately dialed Caohing's number. For some reason, there is something inside her that's wanting to cancel the call. But whenever she remembers that Meixiu married the man she loved, she suddenly becomes cruel and unfair to her.

"Suyin, what's with this address that you sent me?"

She heard Caohing on the other line. His voice is still terrifying and dry. When it comes to her, it's as if he is purposely talking like this maybe because of the exact words he said to her when they were in Japan.

(FLASHBACK)

"Don't think that because I followed you here, I already have feelings for you. It's been a long time. I've been giving away my wealth for your old father and I just don't want to be a saint like that. You know how to pay me right?"

"Right here? I just got out from work."

"You can choose whether to please me or your father's business will be..."

"No no, not my father please. I'll do everything that pleases you."

"Since you seem tired, I can let you take the shower. I'll come over your house tonight."

"This man doesn't want anything but Meixiu. It's not me and it's not my child, it's only my twin sister.", she said to herself and shook her head.

"Meixiu's there right now. It is now your time to get her."

"Are you sure?"

"I am the one who left her there. She knows nothing about the place so you better get her or she'll freeze in the cold."

She boldly ended the call. Suyin just wants to have her revenge, to get even with all the loses she had. If only she could make Meixiu's life a living hell, she would go against all odds to do it. If only she never married her twin sister's ex boy friend, Suyin will not give her to a pervert like Caohing. "I will make you suffer Meixiu.", she said and threw her phone on the passenger seat.

"Wait, whose money is this?", she started creeping out after noticing a bulk of money placed on her passenger seat.

"Is this Meixiu's?"

She suddenly remembered what she said to her twin sister earlier.

"If only I've know you have such amount, I could've borrowed from you than Chaoxiang."

"Did she purposely leave this for me?", she voiced out her concern.

"If she really intended to leave the money here, does that mean she still cares for me?"

A while ago, she called the man who almost ruined Meixiu's life and she even gave her to him. At that time, she was so sure that it is the right thing to do. She is really blinded by hatred and anger. But after seeing this money, a red light suddenly popped ahead of her sight, warning her that she is wrong.

"Meixiu, I'll come back and get you."

"I don't have my phone with me so I can't call anyone for help. What should be the next thing to do?"

Meixiu is now barely making a step. She is feeling really tired and afraid that she might take the wrong way. No one seems to be around so she can't ask for any direction. The only thing she sees is that there is a car who overtook her and stopped a few steps ahead of her.

"Meixiu."

She saw Jianguo is ahead of her; he just got out from the car. Meixiu is not expecting him to be here. She never know that all throughout, Qianfang was actually following her that he was able to call Jianguo when he saw Suyin left her alone in this place. Also, because Jianguo introduced himself as a Vice President of a certain business in Japan, she isn't expecting he'll actually stay here for long to run some errands, consuming a lot from his business hours here.

"Why are you walking alone with a massive thing on your back?"

He is trying to make her feel that all of these are just coincidence and that he doesn't look like a creepy stalker. Meixiu is still reluctant to tell how she got here. It's not like Jianguo knows nothing about her twin sister's issues with her. Ever since they were still a student, Suyin is already insecure about her. She is afraid to tell him everything for the last time she trusted him, he just crushed her heart and left her all of a sudden.

"Someone dropped me here and I actually have no idea about this place."

"Are you still holding some grudges against me?"

"What do you mean?"

Jianguo actually wants to lend her some help. However, he is very nervous that Meixiu might reject his offer. He never felt such nervousness before, maybe because of that last time Meixiu rejected him. Also, before coming back from Japan, he actually knows nothing about Meixiu's marriage and now, he is already aware about her husband who actually gets jealous over nothing.

"Do you mind if I give you a ride?"

He finally expressed his intentions. Looking straight to her face, Jianguo can tell she is a bit hesitant. Jianguo known her for years and he can already tell whether Meixiu likes a thing or not. And judging the way her face darkened the moment he extended his help, he concluded to himself that a part of her says yes and a part of her says no.

"Don't worry, we'll head straight to your house.", he continued.

Meixiu is still speechless. She is scared. What would Chaoxiang think if hell find out? Just last night, the both of them quarreled and now she's having Jianguo on her side? Isn't it unfair for Chaoxiang? Such questions are disturbing her mind.

"Now where is Meixiu?"

It has been ten minutes since Suyin came back to the place where she left her sister and she can't even find her. She already tried calling Caohing's number but it seems like he turned his phone off. Her mind is bothered by the worst case scenario. What if Caohing has already taken her sister? How can she explain this to Chaoxiang and to Meixiu's adoptive parents?
