Chapter 23

When Lissa woke up — or rather, when the sun woke her up — the next morning, Jace was still snoring beside her. Memories of last night, ran through her mind, causing her to break out in a face-splitting smile. Last night will forever be ingrained into Lissa's mind.

She never thought she'd do something like that. It was so unlike her. It felt wrong, but so right as well. Technically, was Jace still her ex. Do people even do such things erg they're exes. Some you people do stay friends with their exes, some maybe even best friends, but that's where it stops. There's a limit to everything, and she thinks she might've just crossed it.

Lissa grabbed the bedsheet, wrapping it around her naked body, walking to the bathroom to take a shower. In the mirror, she saw her entire upper body was red. A hickey on her collarbone, a hickey on her shoulder. A hickey, everywhere. She tried scrubbing it off, but realising it was futile to even try, so left it on her body.
