Chapter 19

I scowled at his question.

“Sorry. Are you the husband?” He reiterated a different question.

“Yes.” I answered with no second thoughts.

He then gave me a huge grin. “Congratulations, Mr. Di Angelo. Your wife is pregnant.” My eyes bulged from their sockets.

Holy shit. That was not what I had in mind.

I immediately shook the feeling away, not forgetting my concern towards her. “Is she okay? Why does she look so pale and thin? Why did she vomit? How far along is she?” I bombarded him with questions I thought I could never ask because of the shock. I was so worried for her and the news of her pregnancy overwhelmed me to the core.

Doctor Rogers gave me a soft smile. “She's about 9 weeks pregnant. It's normal for pregnant women to have morning sickness although not all are like that. Her symptoms are quite severe but it’s only normal so you don’t have to worry. You could bring your wife to my clinic to check her and the baby for an ultrasound.”
