Chapter 2 Raid

After a while I was finally laid in a hand-crafted crib, I had been ignoring the others, so I decided to finally confront them. I closed my eyes like I was sleeping then focused on the voices until I saw several people standing in front of me.

One European looking guy had blond hair and had the air of nobility around him. He was currently arguing with a Japanese looking man with long black hair and had a wick ignition rifle in his hands. There was another two arguing one was wearing a toga the other looked like he found wool sheet and wrapped it around himself. There was an old woman in a wheelchair that watched the others fight she looked like Florence Nightingale she also had a strange lantern attached to her wheelchair. She looked like she was bored of their arguing. Other person looked like a Japanese pretty boy he had long black hair and a Japanese bow strapped across his back he looked no older than 15. Another Japanese man was standing back and looked like he was leaning against something. He looks about 25 with messy spiky hair. He was wearing a red jacket with red pants and had two swords at his hips and a gun similar to the firs Japanese mans on his back. There was another man that had his head in his hand like he couldn’t believe these people he was bald and looked sort of beat up. Another was crying a Greek sword he had brown hair and was waring an older looking toga. Another person looked like a male, but I could tell she was a girl in a fancy piece of armor. She carried a repair and a parrying blade the armor looked like it left very few gaps and its only weakness was the fact that her helmet was off right now. There in the back were two men one looked like a classic Indian tomahawk and all the other looked like the paintings of Vlad the Impaler he was even waring the same black dragon crested armor the only difference was he had huge bat wings and demonic black eyes. The last man looked like a fighter pilot he was lagging at the whole seen.

I waited for a bit, but no one noticed me, so I cleared my thought to get their attention. But apparently no one herd it. So, I shouted. “Any one going to explain this?” They all stopped and looked at me. “Finally, you guys stopped arguing now then. I need to know your names if your going to be staying.”

“Thch and wats a kid doing here?” Said the one that looks like Vlad.

“And a girl no less.” The Japanese guy with the swords replied.

“Cut her some slack we are her past lives after all.” Said the girl in armor.

“I wont pass on any skills to a woman.” Said the same Japanese guy.

“Woman should stay off the battle field.” Said the old man in a toga.

“I agree with Scipio.” Said the old man with a bed sheet.

“Well at least I got one name out of you guys. But I’m kind of insulted that you would belittle me just because of how I was born. But I shouldn’t expect anything less from a small-minded guy.” I snakingly replied.

The samurai suddenly charged at me but before he could make it two steps, I had pinned his pants cuffs to the ground pinning him in place. “Now be a good boy and stay.” I turned to the others. “Now does anyone else want to insult me?” I looked at the others, but they seemed to be smirking at themselves. “What’s so funny?”

“Nothing we just wanted to test your metal so to speak.” Said the bald man Russian.

“So, I guess I passed.” I replied studying my nails.

“That you did young one.” Said the 20 some king

“Save it I’m no younger than you despite the looks of my body.”

“Well that explains your knife skills.” Growled the samurai.

“Did someone hear something?” I asked the others as they started to laugh. But the samurai growled at my jab.

“Very funny. My names Shimatsu Toyohisa you little brat.” He finally got the knifes that were pinning him out of his pants.

“Glad I’m worthy of hearing it.” I mocked. “I’m going to try and guess two names can you pleas tell me if I’m right.” I pointed to who I believe to be Vlad the Impaler. “Vlad Tepish otherwise known as Vlad the Impaler and the inspiration for Dracula.”

“That’s right child.” He said with a smile.

“Ill let the child part slide because I did die younger than you. Now then for the other one.” I moved to looked at the older woman in the weal chair. “Florence Nightingale?” I asked her. She smiles and simply nodded. “Well now I’m feeling confident. You the one in gold.” I said to the blond hair noodle looking man. I’m guessing King Arthur Pendragon.”

He smiled. “So how did you guess?”

“The air around you reek of holy energy and, I’m sorry Hypocrisy.” He gave me a laugh.

“I can’t deny that young one.”

“She pegged you good Author.” Laughed the long haired older looking Japanese man.

“Hmm if I’m guessing I’m going to go with the Oda Nobunaga.” That shut him up.

“How?” He seemed confused.

“Well since he is considered a righteous knight then there were bound to be clashes between a demon king of the seventh heaven and a holy knight.” I remarked.

“Can you guess me?” Asked the Indian.

“Well I don’t know many Indian names, so I’ll just say the only one that I remember. Jeronimo?” The smile on his face told me all the info I needed.

“I’m glad to know my name was remembered.” He replied proudly.

“Considering you shouted it every time you jumped into battle its kind of hard to forget. Then form that it became a popular say for anyone who jumps from something.” His smile fell at this. I just gave him a shrug. “Now the two of you.” I turned to the oldest man and the roman. “Hmm mortal enemy sim guessing living around the same time. One Roman another looks like he died of old age. Skippio and Hannibal. Am I correct?” They both nodded. “Now for the last girl.” I turned to the woman. “I guessing you weren’t allowed to fight in those days, but you snuck on the battle field and got some sweet armor. So, I’m guessing Joan of Arc?”

“That is correct and my I say I’m glad that women can fight on the battle field.” She said with a smile.

“And what about me?” Asked the bald-headed Russian man.

“Hmm well I never really studied Russian history, so I only know of one name other than Nicoli. So, I’m going with Rasputin.” I replied. “The man that got poisoned shot by a cross bow then stabbed. When the found him still alive he was clubbed then taken to the cross to be dipped into a river but still they never found your body after you disappeared off the cross.” He started laughing.

“So, they thought I died that day?”

“No not really they suspected you didn’t die but they could never find any proof. Now for the last three. Sorry but I can’t make heads or tales of either of you.”

“Well darn I was hoping I was more well known.” Said the ancient Greek.

“I know its sad that we aren’t that well known.” Said the obvious pilot.

“I don’t blame her about me I probably didn’t even make history.” Said the 15 some Japanese pretty boy. “My name is Nasu Suketaka Yoichi.”

I was stunned. “As the most famous archer in the world also known as the god archer?”

“So, you have herd of me.” He seemed happy about that. “I’m glad I could at least be remembered by history.”

“Now on to you Pilot.” I said turning to the man.

“Manfred Von Richthofen, It’s a pleasure.”

“Oh, I know that name you’re the Red Barron one of the best fighter piolet out there.” He seemed to be happy about the praise.

“Now you, I know your Greek but for the life of me I don’t know your name.”

“Well maybe you’ve herd of me. My name is Perseus.”

“Wow um yah I know you but not from history but form a legend in Greek mythology.”

“Well I’m glad I was passed down but what is the legend about?” He asked.

“Well you were the son of Zeus and was cast into the sea then later in life you killed Medusa. There is a whole legend but that’s all I’m going to say for now.”

“Thank you for telling me.” He bowed.

I felt a shiver down my spine telling me something was wrong in the real world. “Well it been fun, but something is feeling off in the real world so make yourselves at home and we’ll get back to this.” I quickly left not noticing their nods.

I opened my eyes to see the ceiling on fire. ‘Really I didn’t even get started and I’m already in a pinch.’ My baby body cried automatically while I calmly looked around the room trying to think of anything, I could do but since I was just bore I still had zero strength or control. ‘Well shit.’ I mumbled in my mind.

The door suddenly flew off its hinges and smashed into the wall beside my crib, but it didn’t stop there it smashed thought the wall creating a door sized hole. I looked back to the door frame to see my Father rush through it he quickly ran to me and picked me up without missing a beat then jumped through the hole in the wall. We landed on the ground with barely a jolt my body didn’t stop crying but I calmly observed my surroundings and saw an entire town on fire but that wasn’t all there were hundreds of fire arrows raining on the city. People were running around screaming but my dad ignored them and ran to my mother who was currently in an wooden wheal chare he placed me on her lap then pushed us away from the scene.

She had a knife in her hand so in order to take my mind off the war or raid going on I studied all of its details.

‘This will get annoying fast but it’s the only thing I can do right now.’

I looked up to see my dad panicking a little then he looked down to me and saw my smile. But his frown only deepened. Then he looked to his wife and started whispering to in her ear. Her face went from shock to anger to acceptance within the span of a second. She then turned to me and started to sing. But this wasn’t normal singing it was almost like light started to encompass her especially around her hands. Then the light started to flow to me I felt it start to lock something inside me like a natural ability.

‘Yes of course you stooped machine.’ I thought to it then watched as the system told me I had successfully started the quest.

I came back to reality only to see two arrows piercing my mother’s lungs. I was stunned when a third arrow slammed into her hart after a few seconds. I screamed because I just lost another parent. Then several arrows hit my father’s arms and legs pinning him to the wall he was walking by.

Luck +100,000 Taken just when your mother got arrow through the hart.

“Dam it I wish I could have given you something, but I guess my time is over.” My father said to me. “Just promise me you’ll survive.”

Luck +200,000,000 Taken from father because he will die soon. Sorry.

“You took something? Its ok I don’t need it where I’m going. Enjoy whatever you took.” He smiled as another volley slammed into his chest.

I cried both inside and out at the loss of my parents, but I wasn’t going to let this go ever if I do survive then I will make sure these people pay.

“Hay there’s a baby girl over here!” a guy with a bow shouts.

“Oh, good another person to take into the dungeon so we don’t have to fetch our drops and maybe make us some money later in her life.” Said another laughing.

I looked at the man with the bow as he approached me still in my mother’s arms. The man had brown hair and gray eyes his green shirt was slightly tattered, and his cotton pants had some small holes in them. The quiver on his back was nearly empty of course Yonoichi had some nasty things to say how inefficient his quiver location was. I would have rolled my eyes at her if it wasn’t for the fact that she’s in my head.

The guy picked me up and studied me like I was some sort of prize. It annoyed the hell out of me and my body responded by crying.

“What are you doing. You idiot don’t do that to a baby.” The second guy shouted.

“Sorry sir!” The guy shouted then put me right side up again.

I wanted to glare at the man that was currently holding me but of course I don’t have full control over my body yet. But at least I was still crying. My thoughts right now were directed at the guy currently holding me.

‘Your going to die first.’ I growled in my mind.

They started walking through the town I studied the destruction and got a couple of levels for Observe. The town was in flames and what wasn’t in flames was being pillaged and or destroyed. There were bodies all over the place all I got when using observe on them were only question marks and body/corps no name or anything identifying them.

‘What a sad end not even I will know who you were sorry.’ I was glad my body was still crying because I wanted to cry for them.

We made it out of the city only to see an entire army with bows and arrows all aimed at the city. When we were clear of the gates, they let the fire, arrows go, and the arrows rained on the city. Everyone then got on horses and I watched as the city burned from under the arm of the man that was carrying me.

I was cried as the only parents I ever knew burned in the blaze and I don’t even know their names. But they showed more kindness than most people that knew me for any amount of time.

‘I promise that you will be avenged. No one will survive my wrath other than the children they took.’
