Beguilted.

Gabriella opens her eyes gradually and sees Jamal standing next to her.

“Hey,” he says.

She looks at Myla, first, who smiles faintly, before she repeats,

“Hey...”

Jamal sighs. “You got us worked up. Are you feeling better now?”

“A little. But, I'm ok—my baby—” she touches her stomach.

“It's fine. The doctor said so. You just need some rest. However, I recommend that you get transferred home.”

“It wouldn't be nessassary, Jamal. I'm getting better every second. As long as my baby is fine—”

“Our baby.” he corrects.

Myla looks down as she feels a sharp pain in her organs after hearing those words. Gabriella looks over at her and she adjust her facial expression to make her feel better.

Jamal follows her gaze to his wife, and he feels a tad of sympathy.

He's only treating Gabriella this way, because she holds something of his. He hopes, she understands, and won't get mad at him.
