Worry about the snake.

“Jamal!” Gabriella calls at night, when Myla and Jamal prepare to go to bed.

Myla sighs, and Jamal gives her an apologetic gaze, before walking off.

She lies flat against the bed, and stares at the sealing.

A moment later, Jamal returns with a pale face. She recognizes the countenance as he comes close and forces a smile.

“What did she try to do, this time around?”

He looks at her, silently. She nods, returning her gaze to the sealing.

“Off course. You can't say a word.”

He hurls close to her and kisses the crown of her head.

“She had a shock. And—”

“How long is she going to—stay here?”

He sighs. “For as long as we clear the issues outside. Most especially since we've heard nothing from my dad.”

“What do you mean?”

He stares into her eyes. “For as long as Ahmedabad is free, we're not sure how safe we are or Gabriella is.”

“We don't need protection. Because, we already have one. What you need to do now, is make sure you put an eye on that—woman.”
