chapter 3 the ship.

The clothes the king sent for me fit perfectly and felt extremely expensive. the lilac fabric was embroidered with dark purple flowers that I didn't recognize. the soft leather shoes send where dyed the same shade as the fabric the adjustable straps took forever to figure out. after getting them to both stay on and looking half presentable. I turned to the door that I saw the aliens leave through.

After staring at the door for 5-10 minutes trying to work out how to open the damn thing. I decide to call out.

`i am done dressing but I don't know how to open the door' I call out to the warrior on the other side more than a little embarrassed.

the door slid open in a shocking, sudden, silent and upwards direction i jump back a meter from the door.

`oh shit, sorry I didn't mean to scare you' he said looking at his feet apologetically. it was the silver dragon person again.

`all good, it's just going to take a while to adjust to my surroundings this is completely surreal I am actually not even sure I am awake'

`i can understand why but you are awake and really on the way to Callisto.'

`do you really call it that??' I ask curious.

his big booming laugh filled the corridor as he turned a glowing pink color `no absolutely not we call it Draconia.'

`oh, and what's your name? I never caught it' I boldly question him.

`Thale' (he pronounced it thh-a-l)

`nice to meet you Thale, how long till we get there?' I ask more questions filling me up

`about 1hr, would you like to eat before then?'

`yes, please' i smile up at him.

he led me through the ship answering my million questions ever so patiently.

`you sure do ask a lot of questions' Thale commented good naturedly.

`i am a human that's what we do' I laughed. `my mum has always said I could talk under water with a mouth full of marbles'

he strolls through the ship his wings raising and falling with his steps mesmerizing me. I felt a strong urge to touch them to see if they felt as silky as they look.

'hey Thale, the wings what's the deal can you fly or what?' I burst out after only a couple of steps.

'i could feel you looking at them' he laughed 'but yes almost all of our species can fly, and the etiquette we observe around them is never touch a Draconian's wings unless they are family or a partner, unless you're an alien who has never seen them' he winked.

'soo can I touch yours?, not in a sexual way I am just curious' I ask with big eyes.

'yes but be gentle and this is purely scientific' he nodded in agreement.

he stopped quickly and turned to look down at me. both of his wings moved forward slowly, I reached out completely mesmerised the skin that looked like silk was actually skin with tiny gem like scales. it felt like a combination of diamonds and snakeskin under my fingers.

'wow so beautiful' I gasped.

'thank you, let's keep going you need to eat before you see the king' his wings folded fluidly as he turned.

'thank you, for everything I appreciate you answering all my questions' I say keeping pace with him easily.

'that's exactly what the king sent me for he thought you'd be like this'

'so thoughtful of him' I smile at the ground.

'this king has me curious who would go through all of this just for 1 woman? why me? when did we meet?' I was bursting with questions about him.

'i can't answer any of that because I don't actually know' Thale grumbled back as if he had asked and not been told.

'what's your relationship with him?'

'he is my childhood best friend' he replied simply.
