Chapter Ten

After a long drive , we finally arrived safely .

I quickly got out of the car and bolted into the house to be welcomed by the aroma of my mom's wonderful cooking .

I felt at ease and at home almost immediately.

"Gemma my love " My mom walk run to gather me into her arms as she affectionately used my middle name she always boasted of selecting for me .

"Honey Our baby is home!" She shouted out to my dad who was somewhere in the house .

Not long after her call , I heard footsteps coming from the stairs and I run into the comforting embrace of my dad .

"Princess , you're finally back home with us again " My dad said while kissing the top of my head very fondly .

"Wow you guys , I hope you know I'm your child too " My brother ;Zane said feigning hurt as he entered with one of my bags .

"You're not the one returning from school are you ?" My mom retorted sassily still with me under her arm.
