2.99 The fall

Without replying anything, the old man pulled back his stick and again tried to hit him. This time he was successful in doing so. The edge of the stick hit on his stomach. Lycaon coughed and bend forward. The old man then hit him from the side. He fell to the side.

Gritting his teeth, he straightened his form and came forward to punch him. The old man dodged the punch. He again hit him on his leg, making him fall on his knees. Punching on the ground he stood up again. The old man kicked him, making him roll back.

"How can you go?" The old man asked again.

Now Lycaon understood what did the old man mean. He was not trying to let him go.

"Why don't you want me to go?" Lycaon asked.

"Can you?" The old man asked.

No, the old man was not letting him go. He knew Lycaon couldn't go with him present condition and he was proving it.

Getting away from the old man, he spoke.

"Let me go."

"Try." The old man said.
